Validity and reliability study of the mental illness micro-aggression scale-perpetrator version.

This study was conducted to determine the Turkish Validity and Reliability of the Mental Illness Micro-Aggression Scale- perpetrator version. This methodological study was conducted with 302 nursing students studying at two different universities in Turkey. The data of the study were collected via introductory information form, the Mental Illness Micro-Aggression Scale-Perpetrator Version, and Community Attitudes to Mental Illness.

Professional quality of life and perceptions of spirituality and spiritual care among nurses: Relationship and affecting factors.

Purpose: This study aims to determine the relationship of nurses' perception of spirituality and spiritual care to the dimensions of professional quality of life, namely, nurses' compassion fatigue, burnout and compassion satisfaction, and identify the influencing factors, respectively.

Design And Methods: The population consisted of 316 nurses (response rate: 91.32%) working in various clinics of a Training and Research Hospital (gynecology, pediatrics, surgery, internal medicine and emergency service) between December 2018 and May 2019.

The effect of motivational interviews on treatment adherence and insight levels of patients with schizophrenia: A randomized controlled study.

Purpose: To examine the effect of motivational interview (MI) on treatment adherence and insight of the patients diagnosed with schizophrenia at a hospital in Turkey.

Design And Methods: Individuals with schizophrenia, who match with the sample characteristics, were assigned to intervention (20) and control groups (20) according to the randomization schedule. Personal Information Form, Self-Reported Measure of Medication Adherence, and Schedule for Assessing the Three Components of Insight were used.

Ego States of nurses working in psychiatric clinics according to transactional analysis theory.

Objective: An effective interpersonal communication is an essential nursing skill required to help provide quality health care and meet the treatment objectives. The aim of this study was to investigate the communication between the psychiatric nurses and the patients in terms of Transactional Analysis Theory ego states.

Motivational Interviewing in a Patient With Schizophrenia to Achieve Treatment Collaboration: A Case Study.

Medication nonadherence decreases the success of clinical treatment and the efficient use of resources, thereby creating a barrier to effective health care. In this report, we describe the achievement of treatment collaboration through motivational interviews (MI) in a patient with treatment-resistant schizophrenia. In this case study, we conducted six MIs during which we asked open-ended and reflective questions, established empathy with the patient, and developed discrepancies, leading to ambivalent feelings being revealed.
