Idiopathic granulomatous mastitis (IMD) is a chronic benign inflammatory disease of the breast which can mimic breast cancer. It is more common in young women of childbearing age and poses a challenge in diagnosis of inflammatory breast tumor. We report the case of a 26-year-old female patient who presented with inflammatory breast.

Article Synopsis
  • Breast cancer is diverse and classified into subtypes based on its molecular characteristics, with triple-negative breast cancer being particularly aggressive and difficult to treat.
  • Around 6-10% of new breast cancer cases are metastatic from the start, and 20-30% of existing cases experience metastatic recurrences, highlighting the need for better predictive genetic markers.
  • Liquid biopsy techniques can analyze circulating tumor DNA for a detailed understanding of breast cancer, offering potential for improved diagnosis and treatment strategies.

We conducted a study of five patients with congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH) in the department of antenatal diagnosis over a period of two years. Our study highlights the overall benchmarks for this disease and its management as well as the news on prenatal assessment of neonatal prognosis using Lung Over Head Ratio (LHR): ultrasound versus magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in the third world. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the prognosis of these new-born babies and support parents of a fetus with diaphragmatic hernia.

Multicystic dysplastic kidney (MCDK) is the most common Congenital Abnormalities of Kidney and Urinary Tract (CAKUT) in clinical practice. Its etiology and pathogenesis are still controversial and obstruction is a generally accepted causative assumption. Obstetric ultrasound is the gold standard for prenatal diagnosis and for the detection of other associated malformations.

Amniotic band syndrome (ABS) comprises of a spectrum of complex congenital malformations mainly interesting the limbs, but even the craniofacial region and the thoracoabdominal axis. There are two major opposing pathophysiological theories: premature rupture of the amniotic sac (exogenous growth theory) would result in the formation of fibrous bands which would lead to strangulation, thus causing the observed abnormalities; the endogenous theory holds that this is a syndrome of vascular origin and that the bands have no causative role. Prognosis depends on the severity of malformations.

Background: Phyllodes tumors (PT) are uncommon biphasic tumors, accounting for less than 1% of all breast primary neoplasms. They form a wide variety of tumors ranging from benign to malignant. Several histological features are used to grade PT into 3 categories: benign (grade I), borderline (grade II) and malignant (grade III) tumors.

Introduction: A granular cell tumor involving the breast parenchyma was first described by Abrikossoff in 1931. Localization of this lesion to the breast is very rare, accounting for between 5% and 15% of all granular cell tumor cases. We present this case because of the rarity of this tumor.

Unlabelled: Primary angiosarcoma of the breast is extremely rare. Radiologic findings are often non specific and may appear completely normal in one-third of cases with primary angiosarcoma. The prognosis is usually poor because of the high rates of local recurrence and early development of metastasis.

Introduction: Epidemiological studies have shown the association between risk of developing cervical cancer and the persistence of high-risk papillomavirus types in addition to some co-factors. However, little is known about co-factors associated with human papillomavirus (HPV) infection, especially in developing countries. This study aims to determine HPV status and associated risk factors in women with normal cytology living in the north-central area of Morocco.
