Purpose: To describe the experiences of registered nurses and certified nurse midwives who provided labor support and care in the early months of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Study Design And Methods: A descriptive, qualitative approach was used to explore nurses' and midwives' perceptions via in-depth interviews. Data were analyzed via thematic analysis.
A delay in detecting acute hypertensive crisis in postpartum mothers can exacerbate complications in the mother. Neonatal nurses are uniquely qualified to identify postpartum warning signs in mothers while they are in the NICU with their infants. Few research studies have explored the use of neonatal nurse screenings for acute hypertensive crisis in postpartum mothers.
