Introduction: Tick-borne encephalitis virus (TBEV) is medically most important representative of the same-name serogroup of genus Flavivirus (Flaviviridae). In the view of various researchers there are 3 to 5 TBEV subtypes, of them siberian being the most prevalent. The aim of the work is to compare the biological properties and to reveal phylogenetic relationships of large group of modern (2006-2019) TBEV isolates of siberian subtype from natural foci in southern East Siberia.

ELISA and PCR are used for express identification of the vector's infection, but the results of the two methods often do not agree. Aim of the work is comparative analysis for TBE virus of Ixodid ticks from nature using complex of methods, including ELISA, PCR, and isolation of the virus in laboratory mice.

All patients received a single dose (150,000 IU) of cholecalciferol aqueous solution orally.

In the last years, the phenomenon of changes in TBEV subtypes (substitution of the Far-Eastern subtype by the Siberian one) was noted in some regions of the Russian Federation. The results of individual investigation of 11522 Ixodes persulcatus ticks and brain specimens from 81 small mammals collected in natural foci of the Irkutsk region during 2006-2014 are presented in the article.

Methods: 46 patients with DCM (76% men; mean age 48.8+/-12 years; mean NYHA class 3.
The data of estimating the number of Ixodes perculcatus by two methods (the number of ticks per flag-hour and that per flag-kilometer) in the near-Baikal area were analyzed. According to these values, the abundance of taiga ticks in individual calculations ranged from 0 to 394. The association between the time of passage and the number of collected ticks was positive and high significant.

The present paper proposes a procedure for estimating the efficiency of disinfectants in reference to the set task--to eliminate the sequels of avian influenza. The disinfectants that are most efficient for storage as a reserve in case of the above infection have been determined.

Issues of reliability, uniformity, and timeliness of reporting and sharing of information during outbreaks of infectious diseases are basic for establishment of tactics and strategy of organizational, antiepidemic, and clinical measures. Analysis of experience in sharing of information between medical care organization service and services ensuring sanitary-epidemiological welfare of population during outbreak of Legionnaires' disease in town Verkhnyaya Pyshma in July-August 2007 was performed in the article.

The aim of the study was a comparative analysis of diagnostic value of different laboratoty methods conducted on the basis of results of examination of patients during Legionnaires' disease outbreak in town Verkhnyaya Pyshma. Retrospective analysis of laboratory data from 74 patients with diagnosis of Legionnaires' disease was performed. Complex of laboratory methods was used (polymerase chain reaction (PCR), enzyme immunoassay (EIA), immunochromatography).

Preoperative neoadjuvant chemotherapy was well tolerated and showed similar rates of overall response as compared with the latter regimen.

Was observed, that cool and warm temperature stimulation enhanced this inhibition in flexor muscle. The cooling was more effectively in this enhancing.

It was established previously that interrupted hypoxic training exerted stimulating effect on insulin synthesizing function of pancreas. As a result of the present study the increase of morphofunctional activity of neurons was found in all experimental series although it was greater manifested in animals with experimental diabetes mellitus who were subjected to actions of hypoxia.

The strains of genetic variant I homologous to the Sophyin prototype strain were found to occur predominantly in the Far East and also frequently found in Western and North-Western parts of the East European plain. The vast territories from lake Baikal in the East to Ukraine in the West harbor mostly the strains significantly different from the Far-Eastern Sophyin strain.

The kDNA probe under certain conditions was shown to hybridize with RNA of all the strains under study, and under other (strict) hybridization conditions did so selectively with a small number of strains. The capacity of oligonucleotide probes for hybridization with RNA of TBE virus strains varied from 12% to 100%.
