Macrolactin Metabolite Production by Bacillus sp. ZJ318 Isolated from Marine Sediment.

A total of 172 microbial strains were screened and isolated from Arctic Ocean marine sediments at a depth of 42 ~ 3,763 m. A microorganism with strong antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus was identified as Bacillus sp. ZJ318 according to the results of 16S rDNA sequencing and phylogenetic tree analyses.
