The study on the extraction conditions, purification, and biological activity of slash pine (Pinus elliottii.) is important for the development of slash pine resources. The optimal process conditions for the extraction of slash pine polysaccharide (SPP) were determined, resulting in a liquid-solid ratio of 66.

Background: Poststroke depression (PSD) is a common neuropsychiatric disorder that affects the disability, mortality, functional recovery, and quality of daily life of patients. Xiaoyao Recipe (XYR) is often used to treat PSD and has achieved good clinical effects, but it lacks reliable evidence.
Objective: This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of XYR on PSD through meta-analysis.

Objective: To analyze the factors related to postoperative recurrence in patients with localized laryngeal amyloidosis (LocLA) and to construct a nomogram prediction model (NPM).
Methods: We collected the data for LocLA patients diagnosed from March 2000 to May 2019 and clinical characteristics data were extracted. Factors related to recurrence were analyzed using multivariate logistic regression.
Conclusions: The present study indicates that miR-21 is involved in progression from normal to pre-malignant laryngeal lesions (PLLs) and from PLLs to laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma (LSCC). Furthermore, normalized PCR results for miR-21 might be used to discriminate between normal and ordinary hyperplasia before the emergence of dysplasias and pre-malignant lesions with malignant potential.
Objective: To investigate a sensitive marker that contributes to progression from normal tissue to PLLs and from PLLs to LSCC.
Aims: Concomitant occurrence of Mikulicz's disease (MD) and immunoglobulin (Ig)G4-related chronic rhinosinusitis (IgG4-related CRS) is extremely rare. We evaluated the clinicopathological features of MD patients with concomitant IgG4-related CRS (CRS-MD).
Methods And Results: Twelve CRS-MD patients were evaluated clinically and biopsy samples were taken from the lacrimal/salivary glands (n = 12) and nasal mucosa (n = 7) for assessment of IgG4-positive cells, using immunohistochemical techniques.
