Difluoromethylene and pyridine cores are very important structural units in medicinal chemistry. Herein, we report the development of photoredox-catalyzed ring-opening and 1,3-alkoxypyridylation of -difluorinated cyclopropanes using 4-cyanopyrines and alcohols, employing cyclopropane radical cations as the key intermediate. The reaction exhibits high regioselectivity under mild conditions and can also be practiced on gram-scale synthesis, telescoped reaction, and late-stage functionalization of biological molecules.

Wound healing process has always been a focal point of concern, with a plethora of hydrogel dressings available; however, their therapeutic efficacy remains a hindrance to wound closure. This article reports on a dual-network conductive system, PEDOT:PSS-co-PSBMA/XLG (PPSX) hydrogel dressing, Constructed using poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene):poly(styrene sulfonate) (PEDOT: PSS) in combination with zwitterionic N, N-dimethyl-N-(2-methacryloyloxyethyl)-N- (3-sulfopropyl) ammonium betaine (SBMA) and nanoclay-synthesized lithium magnesium silicate (XLG). The hydrogel powder produced from it can absorb interfacial water within 30 s via physical interactions to spontaneously form hydrogels of arbitrary shapes.

Introduction: Breast cancer is one of the most prevalent malignant tumors globally, posing a severe threat to human life and health. Chemotherapy, a cornerstone in the treatment of breast cancer, often overlooks the sequence of drug administration within single-day regimens. This study aims to explore the impact of drug administration order on the efficacy and toxicity of combination chemotherapy protocols for breast cancer.

Lake restoration usually focuses on reducing external nutrient sources. However, when sediments contain nutrients accumulated over multiple years, internal nutrient release can delay restoration progress. In lake restoration and management, it is important to understand the dynamic relationship between nutrient concentrations in a lake and internal and external nutrient sources.

In recent years, the continuous expansion of () has caused serious damage to coastal wetland ecosystem. Mapping the coverage of by remote sensing and analyzing its growth pattern pose great importance in controlling the expansion and maintaining the biodiversity of coastal wetlands in Guangxi. This study aimed to use harmonic regression to fit time series data of vegetation indices based on Landsat images, and the phenological features were extracted as the input of random forest model to distinguish in coastal zone of Guangxi from 2009 to 2020.

Background: Peach brown rot, caused by the pathogen Monilinia fructicola, represents a significant postharvest infectious disease affecting peach fruit. This disease is responsible for a substantial increase in fruit decay rates, leading to significant economic losses, often exceeding 50%. Currently, there is a growing interest in identifying biocontrol agents to mitigate peach brown rot, with a predominant interest in Bacillus species.

Bone secretory proteins, termed osteokines, regulate bone metabolism and whole-body homeostasis. However, fundamental questions as to what the bona fide osteokines and their cellular sources are and how they are regulated remain unclear. In this study, we analyzed bone and extraskeletal tissues, osteoblast (OB) conditioned media, bone marrow supernatant (BMS), and serum, for basal osteokines and those responsive to aging and mechanical loading/unloading.

Young adults in a transitional period may experience more stress and, hence, suffer from an increased risk of unhealthy eating. Executive function (EF) involves not only inhibitory control and mental flexibility (the 'cool' facet) to facilitate resistance to immediate temptations, but also affective decision making (the 'hot' facet) that helps to regulate emotional eating. The effects of different facets of EF and their interactions with perceived stress on eating behaviours remained underexplored.

The ocean is the common home of a large number of marine organisms, including plants, animals, and microorganisms. Researchers can extract thousands of important bioactive components from the oceans and use them extensively to treat and prevent diseases. In contrast, marine polysaccharide macromolecules such as alginate, carrageenan, Laminarin, fucoidan, chitosan, and hyaluronic acid have excellent physicochemical properties, good biocompatibility, and high bioactivity, which ensures their wide applications and strong therapeutic potentials in drug delivery.

Background: Crohn's disease (CD) is a chronic inflammatory disease, and its incidence is gradually increasing. Thus, the use of a simple and convenient examination method to detect CD in the natural population as early as possible is crucial. This study is aimed at using the colloidal gold semiquantitative assay to detect fecal calprotectin (FCP) and determine whether it is helpful in screening or diagnosing CD.

Enantioseparation has always been one of the research hotspots and difficulties in the field of modern separation science. In this work, a binary chiral electrophoretic separation system was constructed using deep eutectic solvents (DESs) coupled with beta-cyclodextrin derivatives based on capillary electrophoresis with amperometric detection system, and five groups of typical adrenergic receptor agonists (adrenaline, salbutamol, isoproterenol, norepinephrine and terbutaline) were selected as the model enantiomers. The effects of additive types and contents of DESs and cyclodextrins, and the pH value and concentration of the running buffer on the resolution of the selected chiral compounds were investigated in detail.
