Urothelial carcinoma (UC) is the predominant form of bladder cancer. Significant molecular heterogeneity caused by diverse molecular alterations brings about large variations in the response to treatment in UC. An improved understanding of the genetic mechanisms underlying the development and progression of UC is essential.

Recent studies have indicated neuregulin 1 (NRG1) as a new candidate gene involved in the development of the enteric nervous system (ENS) in humans.
Methods: In our study, we investigated the role of NRG1 in zebrafish ENS development by assessing NRG1 expression patterns during ENS development.
Nasal congestion is one of the most troublesome symptoms of many upper airways diseases. We characterized the effect of selective α2c-adrenergic agonists in animal models of nasal congestion. In porcine mucosa tissue, compound A and compound B contracted nasal veins with only modest effects on arteries.
