Article Synopsis
  • A 4-year and 10-month-old female Pembroke Welsh Corgi was diagnosed with nodal marginal zone lymphoma (nMZL) after presenting with an enlarged right popliteal lymph node.
  • After initial lymph node resection and observation without chemotherapy, the dog experienced a relapse with late-stage nMZL, which responded to chemotherapy but later relapsed again.
  • Ultimately, the dog passed away 59 months after the initial diagnosis, and postmortem findings confirmed a new diagnosis of diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL), with evidence suggesting both lymphomas originated from the same B-lymphocyte clone.

A clonality analysis for the T-cell receptor-gamma and immunoglobulin heavy chain genes showed no clonal rearrangement.
