A nanoporous gold film sensor modified with polypyrrole/CuO nanocomposite for electrochemical determination of piroxicam and tramadole.

In this paper, an electrochemical sensor was developed to determine piroxicam (PX) and tramadole (Tr) based on their enhanced electrochemical responses at the surface of the polypyrrole/CuO nanocomposite-modified nanoporous gold film (NPGF) electrode. The experimental results showed that PX provide an oxidation peak at 0.65 V in pH = 8.

Use of a nano-porous gold film electrode modified with chitosan / polypyrrole for electrochemical determination of metronidazole in the Presence of Acetaminophen.

This study, it was aimed to provide a sensitive, easy and selective method for designing Nano-porous gold film electrode (NPGF) electrode for simultaneous measurement of metronidazole (MT) and acetaminophen (AC). For this purpose, the NPGF electrode surface was modified with chitosan (CS) and poly pyrrole (PPY) by electrochemical method, and then CS and PPY modified NPGF (PPY-CS-NPGF) electrode were used to measure these drugs. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX) are employed for the characterization of the attained PPY-CS-NPGF electrode.

Vortex- assisted liquid- liquid microextraction for the trace determination of potassium bromate in flour food products.

Potassium bromate, also reported as a carcinogenic agent, commonly functions to improve flour in the baking industry to increase bread volume. In this study, a green and novel preconcentration and microextraction method, termed as vortex assisted liquid-liquid microextraction combined with UV-Vis spectrophotometry was developed and utilized for trace determination of Potassium Bromate in food samples. Furthermore, various chemometric methods have been used.

Proteasome-cytochrome c interactions: a model system for investigation of proteasome host-guest interactions.

Owing to its high thermal stability and structural simplicity, the archaebacterium Thermoplasma Acidophilum 20S proteasome was selected for mechanistic studies in this work. This oligomeric enzyme complex consists of a barrel-shaped 20S core (approximately 700kDa) comprised of four stacked seven-membered rings with a alpha(7)beta(7)beta(7)alpha(7) subunit structure situated around a 7-fold symmetry axis. The hollow interior of the proteasome has three large interconnected chambers with narrow (13 A diameter) entrances from solution located at either end of the barrel.
