A pre-evaluation of psychological factors may positively affect the outcomes of smoking cessation treatments: A comparison in terms of smoking behavior.

Introduction: The aim of this study was to compare smoking behavior in out-patients in terms of psychological factors with a view to supporting cessation treatment.

Methods: We conducted a cross-sectional and analytical study through face-to-face interviews by the primary care physician with 765 volunteer participants who applied to our hospital for any reason between March and July 2019. The questionnaire administered had two parts: questions about sociodemographic characteristics and usage of tobacco and tobacco products, and questions of the UCLA Loneliness Scale, Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MSPSS), Warwick-Edinburgh Mental Wellbeing Scale (WEMBS), and Fagerström Test for Nicotine Dependence (FTND).

Lower urinary tract symptoms and related factors in female university students.

Objectives: Our study aims to determine the symptoms and frequency of lower urinary tract in female university students and its related factors.

Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted between January and June 2017. To determine their sociodemographic characteristics and toilet habits, the Bristol Female Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms questionnaire, a 21-item questionnaire, was applied to female university students accepting to participate in the study using the face-to-face interview method.

Prevalence of comorbid diseases in patients with fibromyalgia: A retrospective cross-sectional study.

Objective: To examine the prevalence of comorbid conditions in patients diagnosed with fibromyalgia.

Methods: The retrospective cross-sectional study was conducted at Eskisehir Osmangazi University, Eskisehir, Turkey, and comprised data of fibromyalgia patients aged 18 years or more admitted between January 1, 2012 and August 15, 2016. Hospital's database was investigated using the International Classification of Diseases, 10th Revision codes to identify fibromyalgia cases and predetermined comorbid conditions.
