Unlabelled: COVID-19 has caused a major crisis all over the world. To manage this crisis, a fixed shift system was applied to nursing home staff in Turkey to protect nursing home residents from the COVID-19 pandemic. Staff were not allowed to leave the institution during fixed shifts.

The usage of matched/unmatched disturbance notions and the underlying assumptions are clarified. Then, a simplified definition is introduced to obtain a set of performance metrics to be used in observer design.

Fat embolism syndrome after gluteal augmentation with hyaluronic acid: A case report.

Fat embolism syndrome (FES) occurs classically characterized by the combination of acute respiratory failure, neurologic abnormalities, and a petechial rash. Forty-six-year-old female presented to our emergency department with agitation, altered mental status, and drowsiness. We learned that the patient had received a hyaluronic acid (HA) injection into her buttocks at a beauty center a few hours before her admission.

Fractional fuzzy adaptive sliding-mode control of a 2-DOF direct-drive robot arm.

This paper presents a novel parameter adjustment scheme to improve the robustness of fuzzy sliding-mode control achieved by the use of an adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system (ANFIS) architecture. The proposed scheme utilizes fractional-order integration in the parameter tuning stage. The controller parameters are tuned such that the system under control is driven toward the sliding regime in the traditional sense.
