Elexacaftor/tezacaftor/ivacaftor (ELX/TEZ/IVA) was given US Food and Drug Administration approval based on its therapeutic benefits to treat patients with cystic fibrosis (CF) who had at least 1 allele of the CF transmembrane conductance regulator (CFTR) with phenylalanine deleted at position 508 (F508del). The increase in genotyping studies has increased the frequency of use of CFTR modulators; however, severe allergic reactions to CFTR modulators have also been described. It is critical to avoid the offending medication and select alternative treatments while dealing with drug allergies.

This study aimed to determine whether the neutrophil-lymphocyte ratio (NLR), platelet-lymphocyte ratio (PLR), and systemic immune-inflammation index (SII) at admission affect the transition of pediatric patients diagnosed with acute spontaneous urticaria to chronic urticaria. This study included 390 patients who presented to the Department of Pediatrics at Akdeniz University Hospital with acute spontaneous urticaria between January 2020 and December 2022. Purpose: Fever-induced inflammatory processes and pro-inflammatory cytokines have gained importance in recent years in the pathogenesis of febrile convulsion.
