Comparing corneal biomechanics and intraocular pressure between healthy individuals and glaucoma subtypes: A cross-sectional study.

Background: The utilization of corneal biomechanical features in evaluating glaucoma and its progression has received particular attention. The severity of corneal biomechanical changes can play an essential role in response to medical or surgical treatment. The present study evaluated the biomechanical features of the cornea in glaucoma patients in different subtypes and compared them with the normal condition.

Fungal keratitis caused by rare organisms.

Purpose: To report two rare cases of filamentous fungal keratitis.

Methods: Two non-consecutive patients presented with suspicious fungal keratitis. After performing the smear and culture, medical therapy was started for them.

Can serum ferritin level predict disease severity in patients with crimean-congo hemorrhagic Fever?

Objective: Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever (CCHF) is an acute viral disease. Several factors have already been suggested to explain the pathogenesis as well as predict the disease severity. In our study we aim to investigate the role of serum ferritin level as a possible predicting factor of disease severity in these patients.
