The present study is centred on the analysis of the chemical compositions of essential oils (EOs) and volatile fractions extracted from the aerial parts of L. (APDSL) utilising traditional hydrodistillation (HD), solid phase microextraction (SPME), and a novel method known as innovative cigarette ignition (Incigig), all in combination with GC/MS. The results of this investigation reveal notable differences in both the types and relative percentages of the primary constituents; however, all identified profiles exhibit a significant presence of non-terpene hydrocarbons.

In the present report, a combination of classical and advanced methods, namely classical hydrodistillation (HD) and solvent free microwave extraction (SFME) have been used for the extraction of essential oils from flowers, leaves and stems of Karel. as an endemic plant to Golestan Province, Iran. The volatile fractions from the same plant organs have been separated using a solid phase microextraction (SPME) fibre and characterised using a GC/MS apparatus.

Tamoxifen (TMX) is used to treat hormone-receptor-positive breast cancers at early stages. This research aimed to assess the potential of NPs in targeted delivery of TMX against MCF7 and TMX-resistant MCF7 breast cancer cell lines. For this purpose, a targeted delivery system including chitosan NPs coated with hyaluronic acid (HA-CS NPs) was created and examined in vitro.

Background: Growing body of evidence suggest the association between SNP - 11377 C > G and SNP + 276 G > T polymorphisms of adiponectin gene with type 2 diabetes (T2D). However, these findings have not been conclusive and consistent. The present study quantitatively evaluates the data on the association between DIPOQ - 11377C/G, and + 276G/T polymorphisms and risk of T2D through a meta-analysis.

Purpose: Mutation in various regions of the adiponectin (ADIPOQ) gene is described to be associated with type 2 diabetes (T2D). Our aim was to investigate the association between rs1501299 (SNP + 276 G > T) and rs266729 (SNP-11377 C > G) polymorphisms of ADIPOQ gene and susceptibility to T2D in an Iranian population.

Methods: This is a case-control study.

In current research, Ag/RGO/FeO nanocomposite was synthesized through applying the aqueous extract of Lotus garcinii leaves through a two-step method. The plant extract was utilized as agents for reduction and stabilization in biosynthesizing nanocomposite. The green synthesized nanocatalyst was characterized by FT-IR, FE-SEM, EDX, XRD, TEM, UV-Vis absorption spectroscopy.

A very sensitive, simple and selective spectrophotometric method for simultaneous determination of phosphate and silicate based on formation of phospho- and silicomolybdenum blue complexes in the presence of ascorbic acid is described. Although the complexes of phosphate and silicate with reagent in the presence of ascorbic acid show a spectral overlap, they have been simultaneously determined by principal component artificial neural network (PC-ANN). The PC-ANN architectures were different for phosphate and silicate.
