Rat Everted Gut Sac (EGS) model was employed to study the intestinal uptake of titanium and iron. Incubation of freshly prepared rat EGS in Earle's medium pH = 7.4 containing titanium showed that the absorption of titanium as well as iron was a dose dependent process.
