Background & Objectives: Dengue, chikungunya and malaria are mosquito-borne infections, which have shared endemicity and similar clinical presentation. Simultaneous co-infection with more than one infectious agent complicates the diagnosis and further course of treatment. This study aims to determine the seroprevalence and trend of malaria, dengue and chikungunya from 2014-2020 in a tertiary care hospital of western India.

Human dirofilariasis is a rare infection caused by filarial worms of genus Dirofilaria. Subconjunctival dirofilariasis has been reported from Asia, Europe, Italy and Africa. In India majority cases are from Kerala, Karnataka and very few from Maharashtra.

A retrospective analysis was done over a period of 3 years (January 2010- December 2012) in a tertiary care hospital, Pune, to note the changes in the prevalence and distribution of biotypes, serotypes, antibiotic susceptibility pattern and phage types of Vibrio cholerae isolates from clinical samples so as to be vigilant and curtail major outbreak in future. Vibrio cholerae isolates were obtained from 4.4% of the 1126 fecal specimens processed from cases of acute watery diarrhea.
