This is a retrospective chart review of 20 patients treated with a consensus-driven treatment algorithm in multisystem inflammatory syndrome in children patients across a wide clinical spectrum. Their treatments and clinical status are described as well as their favorable return to functional baseline by 30 days post presentation.

Left ventricular (LV) dysfunction is a risk factor for adverse outcomes in older children and adults with repaired Tetralogy of Fallot (rToF). Pulmonary regurgitation (PR), right ventricular (RV) dilation, and dysfunction have been shown to result in abnormal LV myocardial mechanics and dysfunction. The aim of our study was to evaluate LV rotational mechanics, especially apical rotation in young children with rToF with and without RV dilation.

Alveolo-pleural fistula is a common complication of severe pulmonary infection. Some patients require long-term placement of chest tubes until spontaneous closure of the fistula takes place, whereas others require surgical intervention. We report a case of a patient with alveolo-pleural fistula secondary to Pneumocystis jirovecii pneumonia who was successfully treated with the use of intrabronchial unidirectional valves inserted using flexible bronchoscopy.
