It has been well established in the literature that young women tend to carry more aggressive subtypes of breast cancer than their older-aged counterparts. The objective of this study was to describe the characteristics and outcomes of young women with breast cancer. In this retrospective analysis, data were collected for women under the age of 40 years who were diagnosed with breast cancer between 2008 and 2018 in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador.

The annual Eastern Canadian Gastrointestinal Cancer Consensus Conference 2023 was held in Quebec City, Quebec 2-4 February 2023. The purpose of the conference was to develop consensus statements on emerging and evolving treatment paradigms. Participants included Canadian medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, pathologists and surgical oncologists from across Ontario, Quebec, and the Atlantic provinces.

The COVID-19 pandemic precipitated the acute and efficient rollout of telehealth and virtual health care around the world. This review article focuses on the adoption of virtual care in the management of oncology patients, and discusses how virtual care offers the potential for large-scale, positive impacts on access to clinical trials. Virtual care during and following the peak of the pandemic has been found to be both safe and efficacious for oncology patients.
