: Grade-2 gliomas (G2-glioma) are uncommon. In 2016, RTOG9802 established the addition of chemotherapy after radiation (CRT) as a new standard of care for patients with high-risk G2-glioma, defined as subtotal resection or age ≥40 yrs. Here, we report current practices using real-world data.

Capturing accurate death data can be challenging, with inaccurate survival data potentially compromising the integrity of registry-based research. Here, we explore the utility of data linkage (DL) to state-based registries to enhance the capture of survival outcomes.

The precursor [CpY(μ-H)(THF)] (Cp = MeSi[CH(SiMe)-3]) was synthesized by hydrogenolysis of the allyl complex CpY(η-CH)(THF), which was prepared from (CH)MgCl and [CpY(μ-Cl)]. Treatment of [CpY(μ-H)(THF)] with excess KC in the presence of one equivalent of 2.

The investigation of the coordination chemistry of rare-earth metal complexes with cyanide ligands led to the isolation and crystallographic characterization of the cyano-tri-phenyl-borate complexes di-chlorido-(cyano-tri-phenyl-borato-κ)tetra-kis-(tetra-hydro-furan-κ)lanthanide(III), [Cl(CHBN)(CHO)] [lanthanide () = dysprosium (Dy) and yttrium Y)] from reactions of LnCl, KCN, and NaBPh. Attempts to independently synthesize the tetra-ethyl-ammonium salt of (NCBPh) from BPh and [NEt][CN] in THF yielded crystals of the phenyl-substituted cyclic borate, tetra-ethyl-aza-nium 2,2,4,6-tetra-phenyl-1,3,5,2λ,4,6-trioxatriborinan-2-ide, CHN·CHBO or [NEt][B(μ-O)(CH)]. The mechanochemical reaction of BPh and [NEt][CN] without solvent produced crystals of tetra-ethyl-aza-nium cyano-diphenyl-λ-boranyl di-phenyl-borinate, CHN·CHBNO or [NEt][NCBPh(μ-O)BPh].

Reaction of the known bridged-chloride complexes, [Cp'Ln(μ-Cl)], (Ln = Y, Tb, Dy), with MeLi forms the bridged-methyl complexes [Cp'Ln(μ-CH)], , which were crystallographically characterized for Tb and Dy. Here, we demonstrate that kinesin-binding protein (KBP) reduces the activity of KIF18A and KIF15 during metaphase. Overexpression of KBP disrupts the movement and alignment of mitotic chromosomes and decreases spindle length, a combination of phenotypes observed in cells deficient for KIF18A and KIF15, respectively.

The mitotic spindle is a microtubule-based machine that segregates a replicated set of chromosomes during cell division. Many cancer drugs alter or disrupt the microtubules that form the mitotic spindle. Microtubule-dependent molecular motors that function during mitosis are logical alternative mitotic targets for drug development.

Arf6 remodels cytoskeletal actin and mediates membrane protein trafficking between the plasma membrane in its active form and endosomal compartments in its inactive form. While a rich knowledge exists for the cellular functions of Arf6, relatively little is known about its physiological role in development.

This study also evaluated the synergistic effect of a novel compound PBS-44, an α-galactosylceramide analog, in boosting the immune response induced by our nanovaccine. The nanovaccine was prepared by encapsulating ovalbumin (ova) and an adjuvant within the poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid) nanoparticles.

Objectives: To evaluate the age of closure for the neurocentral synchondrosis (NCS) in all 3 regions of the spine in children aged 1 to 18 years old.
Summary Of Background Data: The ossification of the human vertebra begins from a vertebral body ossification center and a pair of neural ossification centers located within the centrum called the NCS.
