Aim Of The Study: We previously reported a survival benefit of elective neck dissection (END) over therapeutic neck dissection (TND) in patients with clinically node-negative early-stage oral cancer. We now report the results of the second question in the same study addressing the impact of adding neck ultrasound to physical examination during follow-up on outcomes.
Methods: Patients with lateralized T1/T2 oral squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) were randomized to END or TND and to follow-up with physical-examination plus neck ultrasound (PE+US) versus physical-examination (PE).
Purpose: To independently and externally validate the Brain Tumour Reporting and Data System (BT-RADS) for post-treatment gliomas and assess interobserver variability.
Material And Methods: In this retrospective observational study, consecutive MRIs of 100 post-treatment glioma patients were reviewed by two independent radiologists (RD1 and RD2) and assigned a BT-RADS score. Inter-observer agreement statistics were determined by kappa statistics.
The objective is to study the clinico-demographic profile, treatment patterns and oncological outcomes in borderline mucinous tumours of the ovary. Retrospective cohort analysis was carried out between January 2017 and December 2019 for patients with a diagnosis of borderline mucinous tumours of the ovary who were treated at our centre. Kaplan-Meier method was used for the estimation of the probability of DFS and OS.

Being both natural and anthropogenic substances, indoor air pollutants lead to the deterioration of the ecosystem and have a negative impact on human health. Cost-effective plant-based approaches can help to improve indoor air quality (IAQ), regulate temperature, and protect humans from potential health risks.

It has a myriad of appearances on different imaging techniques, ranging from the pathognomic oil cyst and benign dystrophic calcifications to indeterminate focal asymmetries, architectural distortions, and masses. A combination of different modalities can assist a radiologist in reaching a logical conclusion to avoid unnecessary interventions.

Recent developments in genome editing technologies provide novel insight to identify gene functions and improve the various qualitative and quantitative traits of commercial importance in plants. Various conventional as well as advanced gene-mutagenesis techniques such as physical and chemical mutagenesis, CRISPR-Cas9, Cas12 and base editors are used for the trait improvement in crops.

However, the shorter postharvest life of the gladiolus, limits its marketing and commercial value. In the present investigation, the effect of lemon grass (LG) essential oil as an antimicrobial agent was studied towards increasing the vase life of gladiolus.

Background And Purpose: Semantic imaging features have been used for molecular subclassification of high-grade gliomas. Radiomics-based prediction of molecular subgroups has the potential to strategize and individualize therapy. Using MRI texture features, we propose to distinguish between IDH wild type and IDH mutant type high grade gliomas.

Methods: We analyzed non-metastatic TNBC from 2013 to 2019 for demographics, practice patterns, and survival by the Kaplan Meir method. Prognostic factors for OS and DFS were evaluated using Cox Proportional Hazard model estimator for univariate and multivariable analysis after checking for collinearity among the variables.
Herein, we report a facile, ultrasensitive, and selective fluorescence turn-on sensing strategy based on green-light-emitting functional nanodots for the detection of bacterial lipopolysaccharide (LPS) endotoxin. In this protocol, first, the pure carbon dots (CDs) with a fairly high quantum yield were prepared by microwave-assisted pyrolysis of citric acid in the presence of urea. Subsequently, the carboxyl-group-rich surfaces of the CDs were allowed to conjugate with the poly-l-lysine (PLL) using an EDC-NHS amidization method to obtain the PLL-modified CDs (PLL-CDs).

High temperature challenges global crop production by limiting the growth and development of the reproductive structures and seed. It impairs the developmental stages of male and female gametogenesis, pollination, fertilization, endosperm formation and embryo development. Among these, the male reproductive processes are highly prone to abnormalities under high temperature at various stages of development.

We describe clinical and laboratory characteristics in a series of female patients with peritoneal tuberculosis who were referred to a tertiary cancer center with a diagnosis of suspected advanced ovarian/primary peritoneal cancer. Details of clinical features, laboratory results including serum tumor markers, radiological findings, and ascitic fluid evaluation were retrospectively collected from hospital records for patients diagnosed to have peritoneal tuberculosis and reported descriptively.

These heavy metals are gaining increased access into our food chain through the plant and/or animal-based products, to adversely impact human health. The issue of how to restrict the entry of HMs or modulate their response in event of their ingress into the plant system is worrisome.

In addition, H S is also produced in cytosol and mitochondria by desulfhydration of l-cysteine catalyzed by l-cysteine desulfhydrase (DES1) in the cytosol and from β-cyanoalanine in mitochondria, in a reaction catalyzed by β-cyano-Ala synthase C1 (CAS-C1). H S exerts its numerous biological functions by post-translational modification involving oxidation of cysteine residues (RSH) to persulfides (RSSH).
