Gold-catalyzed synthesis of decorated indoles has been developed through carbene insertion into N-H bonds of -allyl-2-(aryl/alkyl ethynyl)anilines using α-diazo compounds followed by cyclization and concomitant 1,3 migration of allyl fragments. The developed protocol tackles the inherited challenge of direct C3 functionalization and eliminates the need for a tertiary aniline precursor for the 1,3-migration reaction. The applicability of this transformation is showcased through the practical synthesis of analogs of small drug-like and pharmaceutically relevant molecules such as ibuprofen, estradiol, menthol, and borneol, The mechanism is well supported by control experiments and isolation of the reaction intermediate.

Background & Objective: Phyllodes tumor (PT) is a rare fibroepithelial tumor of the breast exhibiting varied clinicopathologic behavior, ranging from benign to borderline to frankly malignant, based on the presence of infiltrative margins, stromal overgrowth, stromal atypia, cellularity, and mitotic activity. In this study, a detailed cytomorphological study of cases of PT with the clinical and histological correlation was performed.

Airway management in trauma patients is a critical component of resuscitation, often complicated by the unique positioning required by the nature and location of injuries. Penetrating abdominal trauma requiring lateral positioning presents an uncommon and challenging scenario for airway stabilization, particularly when traditional supine approaches are contraindicated. We describe the case of an 18-year-old male patient who was taken to the operating theater with a penetrating abdominal injury necessitating lateral positioning due to ongoing bleeding and hemodynamic instability.

Materials And Methods: The SingaporeWALK ecosystem was set up through 3 initiatives: (1) co-developing technologies with stakeholders; (2) raising digital literacy and capacity building; and (3) cultivating community and intergenerational bonding for active aging through gamified technology use.

Results: Significant improvements in older adults' self-reported physical and mental health post-intervention were observed.

A highly selective, sensitive caffeic acid (CA) detection based on calcium oxide nanoparticles (CaO NPs) derived from extract of Moringa oleifera leaves decorated graphitic carbon nitride covalently grafted poly vinyl alcohol (CaO/g-CN/PVA) nanocomposite modified glassy carbon electrode (GCE) was studied. A facile sonochemical method was adapted to synthesis nanomaterials and characterized by HR-TEM (High resolution transmission electron microscopy), FT-IR (Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy), XRD (X-ray diffraction), FE-SEM (Field emission scanning electron microscopy), EDX (Energy dispersive X-ray analysis), Mapping and BET (Brunauer-Emmett-Teller) analysis, and electrochemical techniques. The nanocomposite modified GCE exhibited an excellent catalytic performance to the oxidation of CA under optimized conditions owing to better electron transfer efficiency, conductivity and high surface area of the electrode material.
