Objective: Pregnancy with chronic kidney disease (CKD) is considered to be high risk. The purpose of this study was to assess the effect of pregnancy on CKD and the fetomaternal outcome in these patients.
Study Design: A retrospective observational study was conducted in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, All India Institute of medical sciences, New Delhi over a period of 11 years.
Nitazoxanide (NTZ) has moderate mycobactericidal activity and is also an inducer of autophagy in mammalian cells. High-payload (40-50% w/w) inhalable particles containing NTZ alone or in combination with antituberculosis (TB) agents isoniazid (INH) and rifabutin (RFB) were prepared with high incorporation efficiency of 92%. In vitro drug release was corrected for drug degradation during the course of study and revealed first-order controlled release.

Mobile communication is now essentially ruling our daily lives through better connectivity and intelligent smartphone services. There has been a tremendous growth in Indian communication industry along with growing concerns regarding health effects of mobile radiation exposure. Concerns posed are especially regarding carcinogenesis and other health-related effects of mobile radiation exposure.

It causes a number of diseases in fish due to which the fish industry incurs huge economic losses annually. Due to problems of antibiotic resistance, and the rapidity with which the infection spreads among fishes, vaccination remains the most effective strategy to combat this infection in fish populations.

We investigated particles containing rapamycin (RAP) alone or in combination with isoniazid (INH) and rifabutin (RFB) for: targeting lung macrophages on inhalation; inducing autophagy; and killing macrophage-resident Mtb and/or augmenting anti-tuberculosis (TB) drugs.
Methods: PLGA and drugs were spray-dried.
Rare cases of 9 complete androgen insensitivity syndromes, 9 cases of partial androgen insensitivity syndromes and equal number of male control samples were selected for this study. Few strong variations in clinical features were noticed; Giemsa banded metaphase revealed a 46,XY karyotype and the frequency of chromosome aberrations were significantly higher when compared with control samples. DNA sequence analysis of the androgen receptor gene of androgen insensitivity syndromes revealed three missense mutations - c.

Aims: This study aimed to evaluate the utility of umbilical cord blood culture (UCBC) in neonates at high risk of early onset neonatal sepsis (EONS) in comparison to peripheral venous blood culture.
Telomeres form protective caps at the ends of linear chromosomes to prevent nucleolytic degradation, end-to-end fusion, irregular recombination, and chromosomal instability. Telomeres are composed of repetitive DNA sequences (TTAGGG)n in humans, that are bound by specialized telomere binding proteins. Telomeres lose capping function in response to telomere shortening, which occurs during each division of cells that lack telomerase activity-the enzyme that can synthesize telomeres de novo.

The mortality rate in Human Cerebral Malaria (HCM) is unacceptably high (15-20%), despite the availability of artemisinin-based therapy. An effective adjunct therapy is urgently needed.

The host receptor proteins such as fibronectin (Fn) targeted to pathogenic ligands that have clinical importance. In the present study, we cloned, expressed, purified, and identified a novel Fn-binding protein from PE_PGRS60 (Rv3652) of Mycobacterium tuberculosis H37 Rv.

The protozoa is obliged intracellularly and causes a wide spectrum of clinical syndromes: VL ('kala azar'), cutaneous leishmaniasis and mucocutaneous leishmaniasis (espundia). Kala azar is the most aggressive form and if untreated causes high mortality.

The mixing ratio of those chains are different for each nanoparticle. The simulations focused on the wetting behavior of the SAM-coated gold nanoparticles and the distribution and structure of their interfacial water molecules.

Telomerase activation allows immortal growth by stabilizing telomere length, but its role in aneuploidy survival has not been characterized. Here, we analyze the response of primary human cells and murine hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs) to aneuploidy induction and the role of telomeres and the telomerase in this process.

Molecular engineering is another effective strategy, in this direction which has been explored successfully in this study through synthesis of a π-conjugated oligomer CbzTPAU2, with Mw = 2169. This bow shaped oligomer has its core unit made of 2,7-disubstituted carbazole which further has been connected to its end-terminal unit TPAU2 by 1,4-bis(decyloxy)-2,5-diethynylbenzene.

It has similarities to Marfan syndrome (MFS) in many respects. It has much fewer incidences of eye and heart anomalies compared with MFS.

Parameters such as inlet temperature, spray mesh diameter, sample flow rate, spray rate and applied pressure were optimized to produce nanoparticles having desired release profile using both low- and high-molecular weight PLGA polymer. Smallest size nanoparticle of size around 248 nm could be prepared using a 4.

Ferroelectric field-effect transistor (FeFET) was one of the most promising devices replacing the conventional Flash memory facing physical scaling limitations at those times. A variant of charge storage memory referred to as Flash memory is widely used in consumer electronic products such as cell phones and music players while NAND Flash-based solid-state disks (SSDs) are increasingly displacing hard disk drives as the primary storage device in laptops, desktops, and even data centers.
