We integrate machine learning approaches with nonlinear time series analysis, specifically utilizing recurrence measures to classify various dynamical states emerging from time series. We implement three machine learning algorithms: Logistic Regression, Random Forest, and Support Vector Machine for this study. In this paper, we report "carbamate protected" 2-aminopyrimidinedione-based Janus G-C nucleobases (2-APD Janus G-C nucleobases) featuring polymerizable groups and self-complementary triple H-bonding motifs DDA and AAD as building blocks for developing smart polymers and self-healing materials. The carbamate-masked H-bonding motif, cleavable under acidic (BOC group) or photocleavable (-nitrobenzyl group) conditions, would facilitate the synthesis of smart polymers by alleviating aggregation during polymerization which in turn would exclude self-assembly-assisted solubility issues. Ready accessibility in excellent yields coupled with the possibility for facile introduction of polymerizable groups would make these building blocks excellent candidates for diverse polymerization applications.

The main objective of this study is to perform an abrasive wear resistance study of UMHWPE and XLPE by using different grades of abrasive paper (grade 100 (190 µm), grade 220 (50 µm), and grade 400 (40 µm)) with minor (10 N) and major (15 N) loading conditions. In this article, wear performance of the UMHWPE and XLPE materials compared to the bio-tribological data as reported earlier in the clinical studies has been investigated. The objective of the present work is to carry out analytical and finite element analysis for commonly used coating materials for micro-milling applications on high-speed steel substrate and evaluate the effects of different parameters. Four different coating materials were selected for micro-milling applications: titanium nitride (TiN), diamond-like carbon (DLC), aluminium titanium nitride (AlTiN) and titanium silicon nitride (TiSiN). Shape modulation of nanoparticles is crucial for their tailored applications; however, it depends on surfactants, ions, reactants, and other additives present in the growth solution. Here we dissect the role of surfactants, their counterions (halide ions), silver ions, and gold reactant in gold nanoparticle anisotropic growth using polarizable surfaces and nanoseed molecular dynamics simulation models. Our planar surface models predict a 14%-16% increment in cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) coverage on Au(111) and Au(100) due to the surface polarization effect.
