[Comorbid anxiety disorders in patients with neurological pathology: current state of the problem and the role of etifoxine in treatment strategy].

The article presents theses of the resolution of the Interdisciplinary Council of Experts in Psychiatry and Neurology (Moscow, 2024) on the issue of comorbid anxiety disorders (AD) in patients with neurological pathologies. The authors highlight the high prevalence of comorbid ADs and their significant negative impact on the course of underlying diseases, such as epilepsy, pain syndromes and post-stroke conditions. Modern approaches to the diagnosis and treatment of ADs in this group of patients are discussed.

Introduction: The standard approach to the treatment of short ureteropelvic junction (UPJ) obstruction is the Anderson-Hynes procedure. Despite its high efficiency and low complication rate, there are ongoing studies which study the modification of the procedure using open, laparoscopic, and robotic approaches.

Aim: To describe a modified pyeloplasty technique with an assessment of the anatomical and functional results in comparison with the Anderson-Hynes procedure.

[Microbial spectrum of urine before and after transurethral procedures on the prostate in patients with postoperative urinary tract infections].

Aim: To evaluate the microbial spectrum of urine before and after transurethral resection of prostate (TURP) in patients with postoperative infectious complications.

Materials And Methods: A single-center retrospective observational study between 2016 and 2023 was carried out. Patients who developed urinary tract infections (UTIs) after mono- or bipolar TURP during the hospitalization were included.

The combination of photoswitchability and bioactivity in one compound provides interesting opportunities for photopharmacology. Here, we report a hybrid compound that in addition allows for its visual localization. It is the first demonstration of its kind and it even shows high photoswitchability.

[Fluvoxamine in the treatment of anxiety-depressive spectrum disorders].

The RSCI and PubMed search databases have requested publications over the past 40 years on the search queries «fluvoxamine», «anxiety-depressive disorders», «anxiety», «depression», «comorbidity», devoted to the effectiveness of fluvoxamine in various variants of disorders of the anxiety-depressive spectrum, anxiety depressions. The data of the above studies indicate that fluvoxamine (Zovart San) in doses of 50-300 mg / day is a highly effective remedy for the treatment of not only anxiety depressions and genesis (psychogenic, organic, mixed, autochthonous-endogenous) and severity (up to psychotic), but also a wider range of anxiety-depressive disorders, including adaptation disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, somatized, dysmorphic, insomniac symptom complexes and eating disorders. A wide range of clinical effects of fluvoxamine is due to its main and additional mechanisms of action: blockade of serotonin reuptake, 1-agonist activity and the effect on the metabolism of melatonin and neurosteroids catabolism.

Remote temperature sensing in microelectronics: optical thermometry using dual-center phosphors.

Remote thermal sensing has emerged as a temperature detection technique for tasks in which standard contact thermometers cannot be used due to environment or dimension limitations. One of such challenging tasks is the measurement of temperature in microelectronics. Here, optical thermometry using co-doped and mixed dual-center GdO:Tb/Eusamples were realized.

When navigated by the available energy of a system, often provided in the form of heat, physical processes or chemical reactions fleet on a free-energy landscape, thus changing the structure. In transmission electron microscopy (TEM), where material structures are measured and manipulated inside the microscope while being subjected to external stimuli such as electrical fields, laser irradiation, or mechanical stress, it is necessary to precisely determine the local temperature of the specimen to provide a comprehensive understanding of material behavior and to establish the relationship among energy, structure, and properties at the nanoscale. Here, we propose using cathodoluminescence (CL) spectroscopy in TEM for measurement of the local temperature.

[Organic mental disorders with comorbid alcoholism in the elderly].

Elderly people are particularly vulnerable to comorbid disorders. The age-related weakness, cognitive decline, and criticism create favorable conditions for the formation of traumatic situations and is often accompanied by an increase in alcohol consumption, which in some cases leads to the formation of mental and physical dependence. [Infectious factor in transuretral surgery of benign prostate hyperplasia: a systematic review and meta-analysis].

The Mantel-Haenszel method was used to calculate the odds ratio (OR) and inverse variance method was used to calculate mean difference (MD) with 95% confidence interval (CI).

Effective therapy of insomnia, especially chronic insomnia, is one of the most pressing neuropsychiatric problems. Unfortunately, at present in the Russian Federation, as in most other countries of the world, there are no officially approved drugs for long-term treatment of insomnia. [Optimization of treatment of depression with administration of ethylmethylhydroxypyridine succinate (Mexicor)].

Objective: To investigate the therapeutic efficacy and tolerability of Mexicor as an adjuvant in the treatment of depression with SSRI antidepressants.

Material And Methods: The study included 100 patients, aged 18-50 years, with verified depression of mild (=32) or moderate (=68) severity. Patients (=50) of the main group, along with basic antidepressant therapy with SSRIs, received Mexicor at a dose of 600 mg/day, in the comparison group (=50) - only SSRIs.

Low-doped LaVO:Eu phosphor for multimode optical thermal sensing.

In the last decade much attention has been paid to the development of novel approaches in luminescence thermometry, which could allow contactless and noninvasive temperature sensing when traditional thermometers are useless. Typically, an optical thermometer exploits a distinct luminescence parameter to define temperature. However, the use of multimode sensors can significantly broaden the working range and improve the reliability of the temperature measurements.

Ratiometric thermometry using single Er-doped CaWOphosphors.

Single doped CaWO:Erphosphors were synthesized and studied for application of optical thermal sensing within a wide range of 98-773 K. Ratiometric strategy utilizing two luminescence intensity ratios, one between host and Erband (LIR) and second between different Ertransitions (LIR), results in self-referencing temperature readouts. The presence of two temperature-dependent parameters could improve thermometric characteristics and broaden the working temperature range compared to a usual single-parameter thermometer.

The care of a patient with Alzheimer's disease (AD) is considered from the perspective of an ecosystem, that is, a systemic approach describing effective partnership, collaboration and research aimed at creating value, involving all participants in the AD patient journey. The effectiveness of this ecosystem is only possible with the involvement of all stakeholders in its development, including patients, healthcare professionals at all levels, government agencies, private companies, and patient organizations. The unmet health care and information needs of patients with AD are a consequence of barriers in the AD ecosystem.

Crystalline inorganic nanoparticles doped with rare earth ions are widely used in a variety of scientific and industry applications due to the unique spectroscopic properties. The temperature dependence of their luminescence parameters makes them promising candidates for self-referencing thermal sensing. Here we report single phase YVO nanoparticles doped with different pairs of rare earth ions (Nd/Er, Tm/Er and Nd/Tm) for contactless ratiometric thermometry within a wide temperature range of 298-573 K.
