Original Research: TikTok's 'Dancing Nurses' During the COVID-19 Pandemic: A Content Analysis.

Background: Amid the challenges of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, health care workers are using social media to publish increasing numbers of posts, memes, and videos. On TikTok, a rapidly growing and widely used social networking platform, videos labeled "dancing nurses" have recently been trending. Whether nurses or the general public consider such videos to breach professional ethical standards is unknown.

Identification of potential diagnostic markers among Burkholderia cenocepacia and B. multivorans supernatants.

Patients with cystic fibrosis (CF) are susceptible to chronic respiratory infections with a number of bacterial pathogens. Among them, the Burkholderia cepacia complex (Bcc) bacteria, consisting of nine related species, have emerged as problematic CF pathogens due to their antibiotic resistance, incidence of nosocomial infection, and person-to-person transmission. Bcc organisms present the clinical microbiologist with a diagnostic dilemma due to the lack of phenotypic biochemical or growth-related characterization tests that reliably distinguish among these organisms.

Brachytherapy in early prostate cancer--early experience.

Use of brachytherapy with radioactive seeds in the management of early prostate cancer is commonly used in the United States. The early experience has been reported from the prostate treatment centers in Seattle for the last 10 years. In this manuscript we are reporting our early experience of 150 radioactive seed implantations in early stage prostate cancer using either Iodine 125 or Palladium 103 seeds.

Comparability of the thermodilution cardiac output method: proximal injectate versus proximal infusion lumens.

In this study we examined the relationship between cardiac output (CO) measurements obtained from the proximal injectate lumen and the proximal infusion lumen of a thermodilution pulmonary artery catheter. The research was predicated on the belief that a strongly significant relationship would provide the clinician with an alternative lumen for measuring CO. Twenty-one subjects were selected by using a nonprobability convenience sampling method.
