Introduction: Chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) is the most common form of leukemia in adults in Western countries, with a median age at diagnosis of 72 years. This guide, developed by the Spanish Group for Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (GELLC), addresses the most relevant aspects of CLL, with the objectives of facilitating and aiding the diagnostic process, establishing therapeutic recommendations for choosing the best treatment for each type of patient, as well as standardizing the management of CLL and ensuring equity across different hospitals in terms of the use of the various available treatment regimens.
Methodology: The references obtained were classified according to the level of evidence and following the criteria established by the Agency for Health Research and Quality, and the recommendations were classified according to the criteria of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN).
Background: Higher than standard doses of rifampicin could improve the treatment outcome of drug-susceptible tuberculosis without compromising the safety of patients.
Methods: We performed a systematic review of prospective clinical studies including adults with pulmonary and extrapulmonary TB receiving rifampicin doses above 10mg/kg/day. Leveraging disaggregated socio-demographic microdata, including social determinants, age-specific strata, and mobility patterns, we design a comprehensive network model of Catalonia's population and, through numerical simulation, assess its response to the outbreak of COVID-19 over the two-year period 2020-21. Our findings underscore the critical importance of timely implementation of broad non-pharmaceutical measures and effective vaccination campaigns in curbing virus spread; in addition, the identification of high-risk groups and their corresponding maps of connections within the network paves the way for tailored and more impactful interventions.

The Atlantic bluefin tuna (ABFT) population ranges throughout the Atlantic Ocean and Mediterranean Sea, and consists of multiple contingents that use diverse habitats and show different movement patterns over the life cycle. Based on body size, elemental and isotopic data of C and N in muscle and liver, we analysed eastern-stock ABFT by comparing mid-sized individuals caught by hook-and-line gears with larger individuals harvested from traps in the Strait of Gibraltar (SoG). Our results show that trophic-related chemical markers have potential for separating temporarily sympatric contingents throughout the ABFT population range, reflecting size-dependent spatial distribution and differential patterns of residency and migration.
