Luminescent materials doped with rare-earth (RE) ions have emerged as powerful tools in thermometry, offering high sensitivity and accuracy. However, challenges remain, particularly in maintaining efficient luminescence at elevated temperatures. This study investigates the thermometric properties of BiVO: Yb/Er (BVO: Er/Yb) nanophosphors synthesized the sol-gel method.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFAxially heterostructured nanowires (NWs) constitute a promising platform for advanced electronic and optoelectronic nanodevices. The presence of different materials in these NWs introduces a mismatch resulting in complex strain distributions susceptible of changing the band gap and carrier mobility. The growth of these NWs presents challenges related to the reservoir effect in the catalysts droplet that affect to the junction abruptness, and the occurrence of undesired lateral growth creating core-shell heterostructures that introduce additional strain.

This research aims to evaluate the influence of long-term outdoor storage (1 year) of baled rockrose ( L.) shrub biomass on biofuel's quality, pre-treatment processes and on combustion emissions in an industrial boiler.

Plants coming from a pruning performed in a natural population located in Spain were used to assess the yield and quality of different products obtained following the cascade principle.

Room temperature CL images show blurred DLDs running parallel to the laser cavity. Remarkably, low temperature images reveal their true morphology: the blurred lines are resolved as parallel narrow discontinuous DLDs.

However, residual rotary instability in approximately 20% of the cases (irrespective of the graft choice and the surgical technique) forces the surgeon to improve the biomechanical quality of the reconstruction. In parallel, adjustable suspensory fixation (ASF) devices have arisen.

The objective of this work is to contribute to greater knowledge of the essential oil production on a pilot scale from foliage biomass of wild shrubs and tree residues produced in some forestry enhancement operations and to study their antioxidant capacity (ORAC-oxygen radical absorbance capacity). Fresh biomass (twigs) of seven species (, , , , , , and ) was manually collected in Spain in two different periods and was ground at 30 mm and distilled in a 30 L stainless steel still with saturated steam.

Manual harvesting of the plants in wild shrublands is usual during short periods of time. Their mechanised harvesting could increase the volume of harvested plants and prevent fires, further storage of the plants collected being necessary.

In the case of aromatic plant biomass, however, there are few data that help researchers design microwave applicators for microwave-assisted extraction. In this work, the permittivity of cypress and rockrose biomass samples were measured versus temperature, density, and moisture content.

The rotator cuff tear was sutured and an all-arthroscopic-modified coracoclavicular ligaments (CCLs) reconstruction technique was performed with a gracilis tendon graft and a double knotless suture fixation system.
Conclusions: An arthroscopic approach allows the surgeon to identify and treat associated glenohumeral lesions in type V acromioclavicular dislocations.
A double-bundle anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction associated with an anterolateral ligament (ALL) reconstructions is performed. The semitendinosus and gracilis are harvested. At knee maximum flexion, the anteromedial (AM) femoral tunnel is performed in the AM footprint area.

Lesser trochanter excision has been recommended for recalcitrant ischiofemoral impingement through either an anterior or posterior approach. However, neither of these approaches involves refixation of the iliopsoas tendon.
