Clinical and demographic characteristics of patients with coronavirus disease 2019 in Security Forces Hospital, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Background: Corona virus disease (COVID-19) is a global pandemic public health problem which affected more than 5 million worldwide and caused more than 500,000 deaths. Disease presentations varied from a symptomatic or mild to severe illness which leads to death.

Aim: The study describes the demographic and clinical characteristics patients with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) admitted to Security Forces Hospital in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia between 15 March till 30 of June 2020.

Does COVID-19 antibody serology testing correlate with disease severity? An analytical descriptive retrospective study.

Aim: To find out if there is any correlation between COVID-19 antibody serological testing and symptom severity.

Methods: This study is a case series of 44 consecutive patients confirmed with COVID-19 who are divided into a group of 23 patients with mild disease and a group of 21 patients with severe disease. All 44 samples were confirmed positive SARS-CoV-2.

Effect of Glucagon-like peptide-1 agonist (liriglutide) on weight and glycemic control among adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus attending primary care center at security forces hospital in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Introduction: Liraglutide is a glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonist (GLP-1 receptor agonist), also known as incretin mimetics. This is the new approach for management of weight among diabetic patients along with glycemic controls. The study aims to explore the efficacy of Liraglutide on weight (body mass index) and glycemic control (HbA1C) among adult patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus in primary care center.

Assessment of family physicians' awareness and knowledge of familial hypercholesterolemia in governmental hospitals in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Background: Familial Hypercholesterolemia (FH) is an inherited and complex multifactorial disease that can lead to early onset of coronary artery disease (CAD). Diagnosis, treatment, and management of FH require a well-trained physician with high awareness of the disease and different risk factors to avoid complications.

Materials And Methods: This cross-sectional study evaluated family physicians' awareness and knowledge of FH using self-administered questionnaires in governmental hospitals in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, during 2018.
