  • A study was conducted among 218 health care workers at Wolaita Sodo University Teaching and Referral Hospital in Ethiopia to evaluate their knowledge, attitude, and practice (KAP) regarding blood donation.
  • Results showed that while 82.6% had good knowledge about blood donation, only 58.7% had a positive attitude and just 21.6% reported donating blood in their lifetime.
  • The findings indicated that males were more likely to donate blood than females, and a significant number of participants hadn’t donated blood because they were never asked to do so.

Background: Warfarin is known for its interaction with many drugs, resulting in undesired treatment outcomes such as bleeding. The study aimed to assess the prevalence of drug-drug interactions and determinants of bleeding among inpatients on warfarin therapy.

Methods: A cohort of inpatients on warfarin treatment was prospectively followed from date of admission until discharge.

Background: Premenstrual syndrome (PMS) is used to describe physical, cognitive, affective, and behavioral symptoms that occur cyclically during the luteal phase of the menstrual cycle and resolve quickly at or within a few days of the onset of menstruation. The primary aim of the study was to assess the prevalence, impacts and medical managements of PMS on female medical students of Mekelle University College of Health Sciences.

Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted among systematically selected female students of Mekelle University College of Health Sciences, Mekelle town, northern Ethiopia from March to April 2013.
