A Taguchi-based study on the control factors of reinforced composites with the fiber of coir and pineapple leaves.

The use of composite materials, whether metallic or non-metallic, is becoming more popular nowadays because of some of their superior characteristics compared to the use of wood and metallic materials alone. From this perspective, a new natural fiber reinforced composite by varying the fiber orientation was developed in this study using coir and pineapple leaf fiber. This work uses the Taguchi method to investigate the different effects of control factors on mechanical and physical characteristics of the fabricated natural fiber-based composites.

Assessing AI adoption in developing country academia: A trust and privacy-augmented UTAUT framework.

The rapid evolution of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its widespread adoption have given rise to a critical need for understanding the underlying factors that shape users' behavioral intentions. Such violence significantly disrupts healthcare delivery and the attainment of universal health coverage. This study aimed to comprehensively evaluate the prevalence, nature and associated risk factors of workplace violence (WPV) against physicians in Bangladesh.

DNA barcoding of reef-associated fishes of Saint Martin's Island, Northern Bay of Bengal, Bangladesh.

This study employs the DNA barcoding approach to make a molecular taxonomic catalog of reef fishes of Saint Martin's Island (SMI), an ecologically critical area (ECA), and Marine Protected Area (MPA) in Bangladesh. DNA barcoding, along with morphological analysis, confirmed 84 reef-associated fish species in SMI belonging to 16 orders, 39 families, and 67 genera. A total of 184 sequences were obtained in this study where 151 sequences (534-604 bp) of 81 species were identified from the COI barcode gene and 33 sequences (609 bp) of 19 species from the 16S rRNA gene region which were submitted to the GenBank and Barcode of Life Data System (BOLD).

A life cycle analysis approach to evaluate sustainable strategies in the furniture manufacturing industry.

Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) plays a crucial role in sustainability evaluations and impact assessments, especially in the realm of eco-design and environmentally friendly manufacturing in the furniture sector. However, the existing research tends to focus on specific stages of the furniture life cycle and leaves a substantial portion of the environmental impact unaddressed, including resource consumption, waste generation, and emissions throughout the entire value chain. This research presents a comprehensive LCA of the production and distribution process of a Pinewood Table, aiming to evaluate and improve its environmental sustainability.

What we know about the trends, prospects, and challenges of human resource outsourcing: A systematic literature review.

This study aims to comprehensively review the literature on human resource outsourcing (HRO) published from 2001 to 2021. The study begins with metadata analysis on 69 papers and presents insights into 32 papers on HRO identified from the Scopus and ISI Web of Science databases. The literature is classified based on content analysis, which comprises conceptual understanding, drivers and barriers, functions outsourced, and firm performance.

Particle deposition and fluid flow characteristics in turbulent corrugated pipe flow using Eulerian-Lagrangian approach.

A numerical simulation of aerosol particle deposition in a horizontal circular pipe with a corrugated wall under turbulent flow has been carried out in this research. This paper uses the RNG - turbulence model with Enhanced Wall Treatment to simulate fluid flow. Furthermore, the Lagrangian particle tracking model simulates particle deposition in the corrugated pipe.

Exploring the roles and challenges of the servant leadership: A critical examination of the Bangladesh police.

The police work relentlessly to control national, transnational, and economic cybercrimes despite the numerous internal, external, mental, physical, political, and social problems they face. This study attempted to assess the servant leadership (SL) roles of the police and the challenges they face with regard to SL practice. Using a self-directed survey questionnaire, the current study collected open-ended responses from 88 Bangladesh Police (BP) personnel ranking from Assistant Superintendent of Police to Additional Deputy Inspector General.
