Atrial fibrillation (AF), the most prevalent cardiac rhythm disorder, significantly increases hospitalization and health risks. Reverting from AF to sinus rhythm (SR) often requires intensive interventions. This study presents a deep-learning model capable of predicting the transition from SR to AF on average 30.

The present study was undertaken to assess the effect of training livestock handlers on behavioral, physiological, and hormonal responses during preslaughter handling in goats.
Methods: A total of 6 handlers were divided into trained (trained in basic animal handling practices, animal behavior, and animal welfare), contact trained (not trained directly but interacted and saw the working of trained handlers), and untrained groups (no formal training).
Oyster aquaculture has progressively increased to meet growing demands for seafood worldwide; however, its effects on methylmercury (MeHg) production in sediment and accumulation in oysters are largely unknown. In this study, total Hg (THg) and MeHg in sediments collected from aquaculture and reference sites and in farmed and wild oysters were measured and compared to explore potential factors that regulate MeHg production and bioaccumulation at the aquaculture sites. The results showed that the mean concentrations of THg and MeHg in varying sediment depths at the aquaculture site were 34 ± 4.

However, the performance of AI-based models relies on the accumulation of large-scale labeled datasets, which is challenging. To increase the performance of AI-based models, data augmentation (DA) strategies have been developed recently.

Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) systems based on Internet of Things (IoT) have developed rapidly in recent years. However, interference is a major obstacle to relatively long-distance communications in such networks. It is also very complicated and challenging to fix the exact location of tags in the IoT sensor networks.

In this study, we aim to identify the main sources of MeHg in the water column and the critical factors related to MeHg concentration and methylation rate constant (k) in sediment and total Hg concentration in fish using five-year (2016-2020) monitoring data of the five artificial reservoirs. The preliminary mass budgets constructed using the measurement and online data showed that sediment transport dominated over runoff in the long residence time reservoirs (400-475 days), while runoff dominated over sediment transport in the short residence time reservoirs (10 days).

However, factors controlling the partitioning between these two pathways are manifold and our understanding of these factors is critical for the management of N loads in constructed wetlands. An important factor that controls DNRA in an aquatic ecosystem is the electron donor, commonly organic carbon (OC) or alternatively ferrous iron and sulfide.

To understand the contribution of SGD to the coastal Hg input, the Hg mass fluxes associated with SGD were estimated from Hampyeong Bay, a coastal embayment in the Yellow Sea. Hg concentrations in filtered groundwater and seawater ranged from 1.

The mass balance results indicate that SGD is a main source of Hg in Hwasun Bay (23 ± 14 × 10(-2) mol yr(-1), 34%) and Bangdu Bay (23 ± 20 × 10(-2) mol yr(-1), 67%), although the contribution from atmospheric deposition was considerable (25% for Hwasun and 23% for Bangdu). MMHg was also discharged primarily from submarine groundwater at Hwasun (0.
