Subclinical mastitis (SCM), a silent threat in the dairy sector of Bangladesh poses a significant economic impact and serves as a potential source of infection for healthy cows, hindering efforts to achieve milk self-sufficiency. Despite the importance of this issue, limited research has been conducted on mastitis in Sylhet region of Bangladesh. This study aimed to investigate the molecular prevalence, antimicrobial susceptibility profile and resistant genes detection on pathogens ( and causing SCM.

Objectives: This study aimed to assess independent and combined effects of protein supplementation and antibiotic treatment on linear growth of infants aged 6-12 mo.
Methods: We conducted a 2 × 4 factorial cluster-randomized trial in northwestern Bangladesh, allocating 566 clusters to masked azithromycin (10 mg/kg × 3 d) or placebo at 6 and 9 mo of age and unmasked delivery of an egg white protein-rich blended food supplement (250 kcal; 10 g added protein), a rice-based isocaloric supplement, egg, or nutrition education from 6 to 12 mo.
Linn ( L.), commonly known as Holy Basil or Tulsi, is a fragrant herbaceous plant belonging to the Lamiaceae family. This plant is widely cultivated and found in north-central parts of India, several Arab countries, West Africa and tropical regions of the Eastern World.

Methods: In this retrospective cohort study, cohorts of patients treated for cholera (index patients) and contemporaneously selected age-matched individuals without cholera (controls), randomly selected from the population of Matlab, Bangladesh, were assembled between 1990 and 2009 and followed for up to 10 years.
Single cell studies have transformed our understanding of cellular heterogeneity in disease but the need for fresh starting material can be an obstacle, especially in the context of international multicenter studies and archived tissue. We developed a protocol to obtain high-quality cells and nuclei from dissected human skeletal muscle archived in the preservative Allprotect® Tissue Reagent. After fluorescent imaging microscopy confirmed intact nuclei, we performed four protocol variations that compared sequencing metrics between cells and nuclei enriched by either filtering or flow cytometry sorting.

Beyond its reproductive roles, P4 is implicated in the pathogenesis of hormone-dependent conditions like uterine fibroids, the most common benign tumors in women, which can severely affect quality of life and fertility. Traditionally, estrogen was considered the primary driver of fibroid growth, but recent research highlights the significant role of P4 in fibroid growth.

Methods: A retrospective review of patients treated for IP at our institution was performed.
Multiple myeloma (MM) is a haematological neoplasm of mature B-cell lineage origin. It is characterized by abnormal clonal proliferation of plasma cells and presence of monoclonal protein in serum and / or urine. This study was conducted to observe the International Staging System (ISS) status and trends of relapse.

Recent advancements in endoscopic technology and operative techniques have significantly increased the success rate of PCNL while reducing associated complications and morbidity. A key development contributing to this progress is the introduction of various new lithotripter techniques, which facilitate rapid stone fragmentation and clearance.

Historically multi-nodular goiters have been thought of as a benign disease with a low risk of associated malignancy. Recent studies suggested that the incidence of malignancy in patients with MNG is not uncommon. With the aim of determining frequency of malignancy in multi-nodular goiter this cross sectional observational study was done at Mymensingh Medical College Hospital, Mymensingh, Bangladesh from June 2021 to March 2022.

This area consists of mostly cortical bone with high stress generation thus heal slowly which leads implant failure. The inherent instability of this fracture and forces of the muscles with comminuted medial calcar is giving the fracture a tendency to varus collapse.

Pomegranate has a unique composition of bioactive compounds including hydrolysable tannins, anthocyanins, and other polyphenolic components. Of those, punicalagin and its subsequent metabolites are the most extensively studied, demonstrating antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-cancer, and anti-nociceptive activity.

The development of innovative therapeutic strategies is crucial to combat the rise of drug-resistant TB strains. DNA Gyrase A (GyrA) and serine/threonine protein kinase (PknB) are promising targets for new TB medications.

In this study, we report conformational measurements of N protein at different pH by observing transition in secondary and tertiary structural contents by biophysical and computational approaches. Spectroscopic measurements revealed that N protein loses its secondary and tertiary structure at extreme acidic pH while maintaining its native conformation at mild acidic and alkaline pH.

However, finding key structural features for HDAC8 inhibition and developing effective and selective HDAC8 inhibitors (HDAC8s) pose significant challenges. In the past few years, the development of various scaffolds for inhibiting HDAC8 has significantly risen and the quest continues.

Due to the limited success of amyloid-targeted therapies, attention has shifted to new non-amyloid targets like phosphodiesterases (PDE). This study investigates the potential of phytomolecules and derivatives, particularly 8-Prenyldaidzein, in AD treatment.

Background: About 10-15% of all breast cancers comprise triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC), defined as cancer cells that lack receptors for the ER, PR, and HER2 protein receptors. Due to the absence of these receptors, treating TNBC using conventional chemotherapy is challenging and, therefore, requires the discovery of novel chemotherapeutic agents derived from natural sources.

The present review aimed to elucidate the roles of extracellular matrix (ECM) components in the progression of vulvar squamous cell carcinoma (VSCC) and explore potential therapeutic avenues for this type of malignancy. This exploration holds promise for identifying precise molecular targets within the ECM milieu, thus facilitating the development of innovative therapeutic modalities tailored to disrupt these interactions and ultimately improve patient outcomes in VSCC. The dysregulated ECM serves as a potent driver of SCC tumor progression, orchestrating key processes such as angiogenesis, inflammation and stromal cell behavior.
