This study clarified the histological changes in the mucosal epithelium of the chicken intestine during the pre- and post-hatching stages. The duodenum, jejunum, ileum, and colorectum were collected from embryos at 15, 17, 18, 19, and 21 days of incubation and from chicks at 1 and 3 days after hatching. Paraffin sections prepared from tissue samples were stained with periodic acid-Schiff followed by alcian blue for histological analysis and to detect goblet cells.

The growing concern over environmental pollution has spurred extensive research into various contaminants impacting ecosystems and human health. Emerging contaminants (ECs), including pharmaceuticals, personal care products, endocrine-disrupting chemicals, nanomaterials, and microplastics, have garnered significant attention due to their persistence, bioaccumulation, and toxicity. This study presents a comprehensive bibliometric analysis of EC research, aiming to detail the research landscape, highlight significant contributions, and identify influential researchers and pivotal studies.

From this perspective, a new natural fiber reinforced composite by varying the fiber orientation was developed in this study using coir and pineapple leaf fiber. This work uses the Taguchi method to investigate the different effects of control factors on mechanical and physical characteristics of the fabricated natural fiber-based composites.

Pinpointing shared risk factors for both conditions has proven elusive. To address this, we pioneered a sophisticated bioinformatics framework and network-based strategy to unearth genes exhibiting aberrant expression patterns in both AUD and CVDs.

It is critical that such treatment strategies for lung cancer should be chosen not only on the basis of histopathological features and the expression of targetable cell surface proteins (such as PD-1), but should rather be selected based on other determinants of treatment success or risk factors for poor prognosis. One method to forecast cancer trajectory is the identification of biomolecular signatures such as microRNAs (miRNAs), non-protein-coding RNA molecules that play a regulatory role in gene expression by modulating the translation or stability of messenger RNA.

This study aimed to identify prognostic biomarkers, signaling cascades, and candidate drugs for the treatment of HCC through integrated bioinformatics approaches such as functional enrichment analysis, survival analysis, molecular docking, and simulation. Differential expression and functional enrichment analyses revealed 176 common differentially expressed genes from two microarray datasets, GSE29721 and GSE49515, significantly involved in HCC development and progression.

Since SCD is based on subjective experiences, no specific medical test can definitively confirm its presence, making early detection challenging. Thus, it is advantageous to develop an AI model to capitalize on self-reported health complications, personality traits, and sociodemographic factors for early detection of SCD.

Due to their various chemical and physical properties, phthalates may negatively impact humans, animals, and the environment. Thus the potential for phthalate exposure and harm to humans, animals, and the environment is high because its presence is alarming.

The olfactory tubercle (OT), a component of the olfactory cortex and ventral striatum, consists of anteromedial (am) and lateral (l) domains regulating odor-guided attractive and aversive behaviors, respectively, in which the amOT highly expresses various receptors for feeding-regulated neuromodulators. Here we show functions of appetite-stimulating orexin-1 receptor (OxR1) signaling in the amOT.

Objectives: To determine the functional outcome and home and social integration of people who had spinal cord injury and completed their inpatient rehabilitation.
Setting: Centre for the Rehabilitation of the Paralysed (CRP), Bangladesh.
Background: Diabetes mellitus (DM) affects a substantial proportion of the world's population and is associated with an increased risk of sudden cardiac death (SCD) due to cardiac arrhythmias, specifically prolonged QT intervals. This study investigates the correlation between glycemic control and cardiac health in 77 diabetic patients.
Methods: Patients with both type 1 and type 2 DM aged 14 to 82 years were included.
Background And Objective: Contagious caprine pleuropneumonia (CCPP) is a highly contagious mycoplasmal respiratory disease primarily affecting goats and sheep caused by subsp. (Mccp). So far, there is no available information on either the serological or molecular identification of Mccp in Bangladesh.

Epidemiological investigations into nine major outbreaks in the wetland areas revealed distinctive clinical symptoms in affected cattle, including elevated body temperature, excessive salivation, and the presence of skin nodules. Histopathological examination unveiled larger nodules compared to previous outbreaks, along with signs of secondary infection.

The performance of a new Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University (HSTU) mobile grain and seed dryer (HMD) integrated with dual heating system was assessed regarding the quality of dried seed and grain. The HMD was found to be capable of drying 720 ± 10 kg paddy in a batch and drying period varied between 7 and 8 h at drying air temperatures of 65 °C.

Objective: This paper investigated the effects of prenatal drug exposure (PDE), childhood trauma (CT), and their interactions on the neurobiological markers for emotion processing.
Method: Here, in a non-clinical sample of pre-adolescents (9-10 years of age) from the Adolescent Brain Cognitive Development (ABCD) Study (N = 6,146), we investigate the impact of PDE to commonly used substances (ie, alcohol, cigarettes, and marijuana), CT, and their interaction on emotion processing. From the Emotional N-back functional magnetic resonance imaging task data, we selected 26 regions of interests, previously implicated in emotion processing, and conducted separate linear mixed models (108 total) and accounted for available environmental risk factors.
Background: Empagliflozin is a relatively newer glucose-lowering drug (GLD) with many extra-glycemic benefits. To date, no study has evaluated the efficacy and safety of empagliflozin in Bangladeshi patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM).
Objectives: To assess the efficacy and safety of empagliflozin as an add-on to ongoing GLDs in Bangladeshi adults with uncontrolled T2DM.
Background: Liver cirrhosis is not included in surgical risk prediction models despite being a significant risk factor associated with high periprocedural morbidity and mortality in patients undergoing cardiac surgery. Limited contemporary data exists assessing the outcomes of transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) and surgical aortic valve replacement (SAVR) in patients with cirrhosis.
Methods: Patients with cirrhosis who underwent TAVR or SAVR were identified from the Nationwide Readmissions Database.
