Objectives: Recovery-oriented approaches are gaining increased attention in the mental health sector, including from the World Health Organization and the United Nations, for their potential to support people in recovering and building meaningful lives through strengths-based, person-centered principles. Kyrie Therapeutic Farm (KTF) is a new initiative in Ireland that seeks to develop recovery-oriented model of adult mental health care. The aim of this study was to explore the barriers and facilitators of recovery-oriented models of practice in a small number of therapeutic farm settings across the world in order to inform service design at KTF whilst also addressing a gap in research on this topic.

Primary amoebic meningoencephalitis (PAM) is a human brain infection caused by with a 97% mortality rate. Quinazolinones resulting from a Mannich-coupled domino rearrangement were recently identified as inhibitors of the amoeba. Herein, we resolved the effective concentrations for 25 pilot compounds and then, using the Mannich protocol and a key late-stage, -demethylation/functionalization, we synthesized 53 additional analogs to improve potency, solubility and microsomal stability.

Semilocal and random phase approximation (RPA) density functional theory (DFT) and complete active space (CASSCF + NEVPT2) methodologies were applied to investigate a new class of extended metal atom chain (EMAC) complexes. A novel triferrous complex has been synthesized recently that does not utilize the usual 2,2'-dipyridylamine (dpa) ligand framework, which essentially always results in a tetragonal coordination environment and general formula M(dpa)X, where X is an anion. Instead, the triferrous complex utilizes a dianionic, 2,6-bis(trimethylsilylamido)pyridine ligand (L) resulting in the formation of trigonal complexes with general formula .

The dispersion quality of nanosilica (NS) is an essential parameter to influence and control the material characteristics of nanosilica-enhanced concrete. In this research, the dispersion quality of colloidal nanosilica in simulated concrete environments was investigated using dynamic light scattering. Purpose: The aim of this study was to determine participation rates and outcomes for patients with Takotsubo cardiomyopathy (TC) in a cardiac rehabilitation (CR) program.

Mutations in Fused in Sarcoma/Translocated in Liposarcoma (FUS) cause familial forms of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), a neurodegenerative disease characterized by progressive axonal degeneration mainly affecting motor neurons. Evidence from transgenic mouse models suggests mutant forms of FUS exert an unknown gain-of-toxic function in motor neurons, but mechanisms underlying this effect remain unknown. Towards this end, we studied the effect of wild type FUS (FUS WT) and three ALS-linked variants (G230C, R521G and R495X) on fast axonal transport (FAT), a cellular process critical for appropriate maintenance of axonal connectivity.

Diffraction gratings are a promising approach for reducing reflection and achieving light-trapping in solar cells. Using square lattices as a base structure, we investigate a novel bi-periodic nanotub three-dimensional grating structure and compare it with established textured structures for thin-film and wafer applications. For wafer application, simulations show that optimal AR coated nanotubs demonstrated solar weighted reflectance (SWR) of 2% compared to AR coated square pyramids with values 1.
