We present on 3 CLL patients with previously stable oncologic disease who presented with orbital pathologies including dacryocystitis, epiphora, proptosis, and diplopia.

Background: Posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is highly comorbid with substance use disorders (SUDs), resulting in high prevalence of PTSD among individuals in residential SUD care. However, there is limited research on integrating trauma treatment into residential SUD care settings. The aim of the present project was to conduct an initial evaluation of the effects of group-based Written Exposure Therapy (WET) on PTSD and depressive symptoms that was integrated into programming for individuals in residential SUD treatment.

Assisting Black Patients With Decision-Making for Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator Therapy: Qualitative Findings From the Videos to Reduce Racial Disparities in ICD Therapy via Innovative Designs (VIVID) Trial.

Background: The VIVID (Videos for Addressing Racial Disparities in Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator Therapy via Innovative Designs) study was a multicenter, randomized controlled trial aimed at evaluating the effectiveness of a video-based decision support tool in enhancing informed consent for implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD) implantation among Black patients who met guideline criteria for primary prevention ICDs. Within the broader VIVID randomized trial, a qualitative investigation was conducted to elucidate the decisional factors among Black individuals considering ICD implantation for the primary prevention of sudden cardiac arrest.

Methods: Between October 2016 and July 2019, in-depth interviews were conducted at 2 time points from randomization, ≈7 days (time interval for the decision) and at 90 days; the time interval for determining ICD implantation.

In this cross-sectional study of 19 779 pediatric patients screened for social needs in an urban health system, we used logistic regression to evaluate CHC diagnoses and social need. Our independent variables were CHC diagnoses.

There is an unmet need for HIV prevention among Black cisgender women. From January to November 2020, we conducted formative research to develop locally informed implementation strategies to enhance pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) uptake among Black cisgender women in New Orleans, Louisiana. Following an iterative process, we conducted in-depth interviews (IDIs) with Black women who were not taking PrEP and used those findings to inform IDIs with Black women taking PrEP.

In this study, we investigated how UV-O treatment affects the optical and electrical properties of molybdenum disulfide (MoS), with and without the presence of a dielectric substrate. We performed detailed photoluminescence (PL) measurements on 1-7 layers of MoS with up to 8 min of UV-O exposure.
