We investigated the application of artificial intelligence methods (AIM) to demonstrate and characterise CLRMs based on dynamic signalling immediately following intraoperative ICG administration.
Methods: Twenty-five patients with liver surface lesions (24 CRLM and 1 benign cyst) undergoing open/laparoscopic/robotic procedures were studied.

Introduction: Percutaneous cholecystostomy tube (PCT) placement is a treatment method for acute cholecystitis, both in adult patients unsuitable for surgery and those failing to improve with conservative management. The purpose of this study was to assess the outcomes of patients undergoing cholecystostomy.
Materials And Methods: A review of consecutive patients who underwent PCT insertion over a 10-year period was performed.
Background: Until recently, a diagnosis of infected pancreatic necrosis (IPN) warranted necrosectomy, which was associated with high morbidity and mortality rates greater than 20%. Preoperative percutaneous drainage delayed the need for necrosectomy with improved outcomes.
Methods: In 2008, this institution changed its approach to the management of such cases opting instead for percutaneous drainage with selective deferred necrosectomy.
Advanced extremity melanoma and sarcoma present a significant therapeutic challenge, requiring multimodality therapy to treat or even palliate disease. These aggressive tumours are relatively chemo-resistant, therefore new treatment approaches are urgently required. We demonstrate that dihydrofolate reductase activity is also a feature of the mitochondria in both rat and mouse but this is not due to a second enzyme. While our phylogenetic analysis revealed that RNA-mediated DHFR duplication events did occur across the mammal tree, the duplicates in brown rat and mouse are likely to be processed pseudogenes.

Therefore, in a panel of melanoma cell lines (including RAS mutant, BRAF mutant and RAS/BRAF wild-type), we assessed therapeutic combinations that enhance/suppress ERK1/2 signaling through use of BRAF/MEK inhibitors. In RAS mutant cells, the combination of RT3D with the BRAF inhibitor PLX4720 (paradoxically increasing ERK1/2 signaling in this context) did not enhance reoviral cytotoxicity.

This case illustrates the Gloveport hernioscopy technique to identify necrotic small intestine that had spontaneously reduced in a man with a strangulated umbilical hernia. This minimally invasive technique allowed a multichannel examination of the peritoneal cavity without any further insult to the abdominal wall.
