MPNSTs often recur locally, leading to poor survival. Aim: To determine the association between high antibiotic prescribing intensity (all antibiotic prescriptions; any indication), and rates of UTI resistance among patients within small communities.
The bacterial load (BL), or total viable count, of aerobes can be measured using micro-respirometry, %O-μR, in which the consumption of dissolved O is monitored with respect to incubation time, . In %O-μR the 'bioreactor' often comprises a canonical plastic tube with a small %O sensor; it is simple, fast and accurate and used in automated, commercial instruments for measuring BL. Here we show that it is also possible to measure BL using a new form of micro-respirometry, %CO-μR, in which the production of CO in the growth medium is monitored.

For Nunavut, the need to continue to provide access to critical care to its citizens meant that medical travel to provincial points of care (Edmonton, Winnipeg and Ottawa) had to continue through the pandemic. We describe the development of a simple decision-support tool (the LVR-PR tool) to aid clinicians working in pulmonary rehabilitation, to operationalise this process.
Methods: We took an iterative mixed methods approach, which was partnership-based and involved an initial consensus survey, focus groups and an observational study cohort at multiple pulmonary rehabilitation centres.

Background: The Qanuinngitsiarutiksait study aimed to develop detailed profiles of Inuit health service utilization in Manitoba, by Inuit living in Manitoba (approximately 1,500) and by Inuit from the Kivalliq region of Nunavut who travel to Manitoba to access care not available in Nunavut (approximately 16,000 per year).
Methods: We used health administrative data routinely collected in Manitoba for all services provided and developed an algorithm to identify Inuit in the dataset. This paper focused on health services used by Inuit from the Kivalliq for prenatal care and birthing.
Background And Purpose: Among people with multiple sclerosis (MS), yoga has potential to improve fatigue and other symptoms that undermine quality of life. The aim of this study was to assess the feasibility, acceptability, and effectiveness of LoveYourBrain Yoga, a six-week yoga with psychoeducation program, on fatigue and other health-related outcomes among people with MS in a rural, community-based setting in the United States.
Methods: This non-randomized 2x2 crossover pilot trial compared LoveYourBrain Yoga to a control among 15 people with MS.
