Methods: Alliance for Clinical Trials in Oncology (Alliance) trials opened from January 1, 2000, and closed before January 1, 2018, for common AYA cancers were identified. Proportions of AYAs (aged 18-39 years old) versus non-AYAs (aged ≥40 years old) enrolled by cancer type were summarized by descriptive statistics.
Introduction: Nasal symptoms are frequently reported by patients undergoing chemotherapy.
Methods: Eligible patients planning to receive paclitaxel, docetaxel, nab-paclitaxel, bevacizumab without a concomitant taxane, or "other" (non-taxane, non-bevacizumab) chemotherapy regimens were invited to participate in this prospective study. Patients reported nasal symptoms prior to each dose of chemotherapy.
The cosmopolitan distribution of humpback whales (Megaptera novaeangliae) is largely driven by migrations between winter low-latitude breeding grounds and summer high-latitude feeding grounds. Southern Hemisphere humpback whales faced intensive exploitation during the whaling eras and recently show evidence of population recovery. Gene flow and shared song indicate overlap between the western (A) and eastern (B1, B2) Breeding Stocks in the South Atlantic and Indian Oceans (C1).

TLRs are the first line of defense against microbes and activate signaling cascades that induce immune and inflammatory responses. Patients with "hot" versus "cold" tumors may respond more favorably to immune checkpoint inhibition, and through their downstream effects, TLR agonists have the potential to convert "cold tumors" into "hot tumors" making TLRs in combination with immune checkpoint inhibitors, potential targets for cancer therapies.

Methods: The primary end point was area under the curve for number of oral ulcers during the 12-week placebo-controlled phase (AUCWk0-12). Key secondary end points were change from baseline in oral ulcer pain, complete oral ulcer resolution, and measures of disease activity and quality of life (QoL).

Methods: The phase 3, double-blind, placebo-controlled RELIEF study randomised adult patients with active BS to placebo or apremilast 30 mg twice daily for 12 weeks, followed by an extension phase with all patients receiving apremilast through Week 64 and 4-week post-treatment follow-up (upon treatment discontinuation). The primary endpoint was area under the curve for the number of oral ulcers over 12 weeks (AUCWk0-12), reflecting the number of oral ulcers over time and accounting for their recurring-remitting course.

Methods: Eligible patients with minimal or no baseline nasal symptoms were enrolled in this natural history study at initiation of a new chemotherapy regimen. Patients completed nasal symptom logs each time they received a chemotherapy dose.
We present a novel mathematical model of heterogeneous cell proliferation where the total population consists of a subpopulation of slow-proliferating cells and a subpopulation of fast-proliferating cells. The model incorporates two cellular processes, asymmetric cell division and induced switching between proliferative states, which are important determinants for the heterogeneity of a cell population. As motivation for our model we provide experimental data that illustrate the induced-switching process.
