In this paper, we deploy an approach that draws on Hörl's neo-ecological thinking to propose that the home, as a site of domestic violence, can be usefully framed as an ecology of the domestic, a posthumanist hybrid matrix of bodies, spaces and objects in which various practices enact the smooth running of the domestic together with practices of domestic and family violence, including coercive control. Our interest is in coercive control and in the impact that the COVID-19 pandemic had on practices which enact this aspect of domestic violence.

Extending these findings to carboxylic acid substrates has produced a mild and facile approach to the in situ formation of symmetric anhydrides, which were conveniently converted to amide derivatives in a one-pot process. The efficient protocols discussed herein are marked by use of UVA LEDs (365 nm), which have reduced the reaction times and come with a low setup cost.

We evaluated the clinical effects of the Zeiss OPMILAS (Oberkochen, Germany) multi-yttrium-aluminum-garnet (YAG) laser in the treatment of renal pelvic tumours as an alternative to nephroureterectomy. Four patients with evidence of transitional cell carcinoma (TCC) in the renal pelvis and a previous history of TCC of the bladder or opposite renal pelvis were treated with the Zeiss OPMILAS multi-YAG laser. We further hypothesized an interaction effect in which caregivers with prior depression would be affected more by care-recipient dependency in activities of daily living and care-recipient depressive symptoms than those without prior depression. In a sample of 111 caregivers of persons with Alzheimer's disease, in an additive regression model, neither 'prior depressive symptoms' nor the clinically more serious 'prior depressive syndrome' was related to depressive symptoms during caregiving.
