Background And Objectives: Neurocognitive deficits in bipolar disorder (BD) have a negative impact on the quality of life, even during the euthymic phase. And many studies conducted to improve cognitive deficits in bipolar disorder. This systematic review aims to summarize studies on cognitive rehabilitation (CR) conducted in bipolar patients and evaluate its impact on neurocognitive deficits.

Video game addiction is associated with early stage of inhibitory control problems: An event-related potential study using cued Go/NoGo task.

Video game addiction (VGA) is associated with cognitive problems, particularly deficits in inhibitory control. The present study aimed to investigate behavioural responses and event-related potential associated with specific response inhibition using the cued Go/NoGo task to examine the effects of VGA on brain activity related to response inhibition. Twenty-five individuals addicted to video games (action video games) and 25 matched healthy controls participated in the study.

The effect of maternal exposure to titanium dioxide nanoparticles on the pain response in offspring mice using formalin test.

This study was conducted to evaluate the effect of maternal exposure to TiO nanoparticles on the pain response in offspring mice. 30 female mice with a mean ± SD weight of 30 ± 5 g were randomly divided into three groups: the control group (group 1) received only the basal diet; the sham group (group 2) received saline plus as a carrier (100 μL/mice) subcutaneously on days 3, 7, 10, and 14 post-mating; and the test group (group 3) received 100 μL/mice TNPs subcutaneously on days 3, 7, 10, and 14 post-mating. Offspring were divided into 6 groups 21 days after birth and underwent formalin test.

Auditory processing in schizophrenia: Behavioural evidence of abnormal spatial awareness.

Spatial processing deficits are the reason for many daily life problems of schizophrenia (SCZ) patients. In this study, we aimed to examine the possibility of abnormal bias to one hemifield, in form of hemispatial neglect and extinction, in auditory modality in SCZ. Twenty-five SCZ patients and 25 healthy individuals were compared on speech tasks to study the auditory neglect and extinction, as well as an auditory localization task for studying neglect.

Titanium dioxide nanoparticles (TiO NPs) are used in many products including those produced by pigment and cosmetic manufacturers.
