Background And Objectives: Neurocognitive deficits in bipolar disorder (BD) have a negative impact on the quality of life, even during the euthymic phase. And many studies conducted to improve cognitive deficits in bipolar disorder. This systematic review aims to summarize studies on cognitive rehabilitation (CR) conducted in bipolar patients and evaluate its impact on neurocognitive deficits.

Video game addiction (VGA) is associated with cognitive problems, particularly deficits in inhibitory control. The present study aimed to investigate behavioural responses and event-related potential associated with specific response inhibition using the cued Go/NoGo task to examine the effects of VGA on brain activity related to response inhibition. Twenty-five individuals addicted to video games (action video games) and 25 matched healthy controls participated in the study.

Introduction: Asthma is related to neurochemical alterations which affect brain functions and lead to anxiety and cognitive dysfunctions. Myrtenol has sparked considerable interest due to its pharmacological effects, especially for the remediation of chronic disorders. Thus, the present research was designed to evaluate the impacts of myrtenol on anxiety-like behaviors, cognitive declines, inflammation, and oxidative stress in the hippocampus of asthmatic rats.

Physical and cognitive problems associated with stress are believed to result from stress-related damage to neurons involved in motor and cognitive control. In general, there are two types of stress, physical and psychological which both negatively impact neuronal function. Erythropoietin (EPO) has been shown to exert a neuroprotective effect in various models of physical brain injury; however, its actions on stress-related changes in behavior are unknown.

Introduction: Video game addiction (VGA) is associated with physical and mental disorders, one of which is problem in executive function, particularly inhibitory control. The present study aimed to investigate reactive and proactive inhibitory controls by event-related potential (ERP).

Methods: Thirty video game (action video games)-addicted subjects and 30 matched healthy controls participated in the study, who were tested by the selective stop-signal task.

This study was conducted to evaluate the effect of maternal exposure to TiO nanoparticles on the pain response in offspring mice. 30 female mice with a mean ± SD weight of 30 ± 5 g were randomly divided into three groups: the control group (group 1) received only the basal diet; the sham group (group 2) received saline plus as a carrier (100 μL/mice) subcutaneously on days 3, 7, 10, and 14 post-mating; and the test group (group 3) received 100 μL/mice TNPs subcutaneously on days 3, 7, 10, and 14 post-mating. Offspring were divided into 6 groups 21 days after birth and underwent formalin test.

Spatial processing deficits are the reason for many daily life problems of schizophrenia (SCZ) patients. In this study, we aimed to examine the possibility of abnormal bias to one hemifield, in form of hemispatial neglect and extinction, in auditory modality in SCZ. Twenty-five SCZ patients and 25 healthy individuals were compared on speech tasks to study the auditory neglect and extinction, as well as an auditory localization task for studying neglect.

Introduction: Applications of engineered nanoparticles are rapidly increasing. Titanium dioxide nanoparticles (TiO NPs) are used in many products including those produced by pigment and cosmetic manufacturers. The objective of this study was to investigate the effects of maternal exposure during pregnancy to TiO NPs on depressive-like behavior in the first and second generation offspring.
