Purpose Of Review: This review defines intersectionality, discusses recent studies that use an intersectional framework in adolescent health research, and outlines ways where clinicians can use intersectionality to address health disparities in youth of color through clinical practice, research, and advocacy.
Recent Findings: Research using an intersectional framework can identify populations at risk for certain disorders or behaviors. Recent studies in adolescent health research using an intersectional lens identified lesbian girls of color as an at-risk population for e-cigarette use, demonstrated lower skin color satisfaction among Black girls of all ages predicted greater binge-eating disorder symptoms, and showed that two-thirds of Latine (gender-neutral term that refers to people with Latin American roots) youth who recently immigrated to the United States experienced at least one traumatic event during their migration journey, putting them at risk for PTSD and other mental health disorders.
Unlabelled: In recent years, many psycho-educational technologies were studied to address the school-related difficulties encountered by students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). However, most of them remain individual-centered and do not consider the social environment. To fill this gap, this study reports on the user-centered design of a web-based support tool, which aims to support communication and coordination between parents, school staff and health professionals of middle and high school students with ASD, in the context of elaborating, implementing, and following an Individualized Education Plan.

To address the cognitive underpinnings of school-related adaptive behaviors, 27 students with autism and 18 students with intellectual and/or severe learning disability, aged from 11 to 17, were recruited. Purpose: To present clinical data for a new peritoneal port for minimally invasive treatment of intractable ascites that can be used for aspiration in a patient's home.
Materials And Methods: Twenty-eight consecutive peritoneal ports were placed in 27 patients with intractable ascites. Ascites etiology was malignancy in 22 patients, cirrhosis in three, pancreatic duct injury in one, and unknown in one.

Methods: A total of 98 mother-infant pairs (83.1% of all children born during the period 1997-99 in a specific area polluted with HCB) were recruited.
The aim of the present study was to assess the association of prenatal exposure to hexachlorobenzene (HCB) and other organochlorine compounds with anthropometric measures at birth. Determination of the monocyte count by classical microscopic analysis can be inaccurate. We have compared the automated monocyte count from the coulter STKS (program 1F) with counts obtained by microscopic analysis of 1000 leucocytes and by flow cytometric analysis of cells stained simultaneously with a pan-leucocyte and a monocyte-specific antibody.
