Background: Although coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) vaccines have been effective in controlling the COVID-19 pandemic, a variety of post-vaccination neurological complications have been reported worldwide. Amyloid β-related angiitis (ABRA) is a rare neurological disease. The underlying cause of ABRA is unknown, but several studies suggest that it is caused by an excessive immune response to amyloid-β deposited in blood vessels.

Neurologic examination showed memory disturbance, dysarthria, extrapyramidal signs (bradykinesia and resting tremor) and ataxic gait without spasticity. Although GSS105 has been referred to as "spastic paraparesis-type GSS", the patient did not show spastic paraparesis or pyramidal signs, even 11 years after the onset of symptoms.

Spinal cords were collected from 24 patients with a histopathological diagnosis of meningeal carcinomatosis. Infiltration from the subarachnoid space into the spinal cord occurred primarily along the perivascular tissue, and infiltration from the anterior median fissure to the anterior horn was found along the central artery in cases of marked meningeal dissemination.
