Lipid droplets (LDs) are organelles involved in lipid storage, maintenance of energy homeostasis, protein sequestration, signaling events and inter-organelle interactions. Recently, LDs have been shown to favor the replication of members from different viral families, such as the Flaviviridae and Coronaviridae. In this work, we show that LDs are essential organelles for members of the Arenaviridae family.

The interactions between bovine serum albumin (BSA) and mycophenolic acid (MPA) were investigated in silico through molecular docking and in vitro, using fluorescence spectroscopy. Dynamic light scattering and scanning electron microscopy were used to figure out the structure of MPA-Complex (MPA-C). The binding affinity between MPA and BSA was determined, yielding a Kd value of (12.

Polycyclic aromatic compounds (PAHs) are toxic compounds that are released in the environment as a consequence of industrial activities. The restoration of PAH-polluted sites considers the use of bacteria capable of degrading aromatic compounds to carbon dioxide and water. Here we characterize a new Xanthobacteraceae strain, Starkeya sp.
