The citrus long-horned beetle, (Coleoptera: Cerambycidae), is a highly polyphagous species native to eastern and southeastern Asia. Detection of these beetles is dependent on visual surveys, which are inefficient and labor-intensive. Posttransplant lymphoproliferative disorder (PTLD) is a life-threatening complication of organ transplantation, commonly diagnosed after patients present with nonspecific constitutional symptoms and/or transplant organ dysfunction. In this article, we report a case of a kidney transplant recipient who was found to have highly elevated circulating donor-derived cell-free DNA (dd-cfDNA) levels on routine serum surveillance for allograft rejection, initially without organ dysfunction or evidence of allograft rejection on biopsy. Later, for cause imaging revealed retroperitoneal lymphadenopathy and an allograft hilar mass, which was biopsied to show PTLD/diffuse large B cell lymphoma.

Recognition and support for young carers has improved steadily in the past two decades; with stronger legislation and more visibility and awareness of the challenges that many of the YC face, especially with respect to their education. Recent UK-based initiatives providing toolkits and guidance for school staff have provided much needed direction for schools, to support the loosely defined statutory requirements. The multi-attribute method (MAM) was conceived as a single assay to potentially replace multiple single-attribute assays that have long been used in process development and quality control (QC) for protein therapeutics. MAM is rooted in traditional peptide mapping methods; it leverages mass spectrometry (MS) detection for confident identification and quantitation of many types of protein attributes that may be targeted for monitoring. Graft-versus-host disease after liver transplantation (LT-GVHD) is rare, frequently fatal, and associated with bone marrow failure (BMF), cytopenias, and hyperferritinemia. Given hyperferritinemia and cytopenias are present in hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH), and somatic mutations in hematopoietic cells are associated with hyperinflammatory responses (clonal hematopoiesis of indeterminate potential, CHIP), we identified the frequency of hemophagocytosis and CHIP mutations in LT-GVHD. We reviewed bone marrow aspirates and biopsies, quantified blood/marrow chimerism, and performed next-generation sequencing (NGS) with a targeted panel of genes relevant to myeloid malignancies, CHIP, and BMF.

The Multi-Attribute Method (MAM) Consortium was initially formed as a venue to harmonize best practices, share experiences, and generate innovative methodologies to facilitate widespread integration of the MAM platform, which is an emerging ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry application. Successful implementation of MAM as a purity-indicating assay requires new peak detection (NPD) of potential process- and/or product-related impurities. The NPD interlaboratory study described herein was carried out by the MAM Consortium to report on the industry-wide performance of NPD using predigested samples of the NISTmAb Reference Material 8671.

X-ray CT polymer gel dosimetry (PGD) remains a promising tool for three dimensional verification of high-dose treatment deliveries such as non-coplanar stereotactic irradiations. Recent demonstrations have shown a proof-of-principle application of linac-integrated cone beam CT-imaged (LI-CBCT) PGDs for 3D dose verification. LI-CBCT offers advantages over previous CT based PGD, including close to real-time imaging of the irradiated dosimeter, as well as the ability to maintain the dosimeter in the same physical location for irradiation and imaging, thereby eliminating spatial errors due to dosimeter re-positioning for read-out that may occur for other systems.
