Objectives: The aim of this study was to investigate the prevalence, consequences and factors associated with drug use among individuals over 50 years of age, from the perspective of their families, with particularly reference to cocaine use.
Methods: Cross-sectional study based on secondary data with 624 family members of substance users who sought family support in 14 units of the Program in São Paulo, Brazil.
Results: The participants were predominately men, aged 50 to 59 years (68%); cocaine users (inhaled and/ or smoked); living alone; with a low level of education and were unemployed.
Objective: To assess the association between the presence of drug use and the dimensions of mindfulness in a population of students of technical education in nursing.
Method: Correlational study conducted in a teaching institution in the inlands of the state of São Paulo, in 2017. Participants were 135 students for which the ASSIST questionnaire with personal characterization data and the Mindfulness Five-facet Questionnaire were applied.
Objectives: To understand the family experience regarding the trajectory of crack users for the street situation.
Methods: Qualitative study using the systemic approach as the theoretical referential and the narrative as methodological referential. We conducted interviews with eleven family members of crack users with street situation experience cared for at a community mental health service.
Objective: To analyze the association between strategies used to cope with occupational stress that are focused on the problem wand the personal characteristics of nursing technicians and assistants.
Methodology: This quantitative and correlational study was conducted in a large teaching hospital in the São Paulo State, Brazil, in 2013. A randomized sample with 310 participants (198 nursing assistants and 112 nursing technicians) comprised the study population.
This is a sectional study carried out in an emergency room, with the purpose of identifying the association of socio-demographic, occupational and economic data in nursing workers presenting stress symptoms. Data was collected from 33 subjects, in July and August 2009, using an inventory of stress symptoms for adults. Results show that most of the workers presented stress symptoms at resistance and almost-exhaustion stages, with presence of psychological and physical symptoms.

It is a qualitative study with a series of cases carried out in the city of Maringá, PR, Brazil from April to June 2010. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, analyzed using content analysis, and organized into two categories: family ties as facilitators in the use of crack cocaine and other drugs; and fragmented family ties of crack users.
