To further understand the impact of deficiency of the autoimmune regulator () gene during the adhesion of medullary thymic epithelial cells (mTECs) to thymocytes, we sequenced single-cell libraries (scRNA-seq) obtained from wild-type (WT) ( ) or -deficient ( ) mTECs cocultured with WT single-positive (SP) CD4 thymocytes. Methods: A retrospective cohort study. Data were retrospectively collected from medical records of all patients admitted to the pediatric intensive care unit of a cancer hospital from January 2017 to June 2018.

Multisystem Inflammatory Syndrome Associated With Coronavirus Disease in Children: A Multi-centered Study in Belém, Pará, Brazil.

We described the characteristics of 11 children with pediatric multisystem inflammatory syndrome-temporally associated with SARS-CoV-2. The main clinical indications for hospital admission were vasogenic toxic shock (n = 2), Kawasaki disease (n = 4), and Kawasaki disease shock syndrome (n = 5). The echocardiography findings were abnormal in 63% of cases.

The entwined nature of perceptual and conceptual processes renders an understanding of the interplay between perceptual recognition and conceptual access a continuing challenge. Here, to disentangle perceptual and conceptual processing in the brain, we combine magnetoencephalography (MEG), picture and word presentation and representational similarity analysis (RSA). We replicate previous findings of early and robust sensitivity to semantic distances between objects presented as pictures and show earlier (~105 ​msec), but not later, representations can be accounted for by contemporary computer models of visual similarity (AlexNet).

Ketamine effects on anxiety and fear-related behaviors: Current literature evidence and new findings.

Ketamine, a non-competitive N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) receptor antagonist, presents a rapid and sustained antidepressant effect in clinical and preclinical studies. Regarding ketamine effects on anxiety, there is a widespread discordance among pre-clinical studies. To address this issue, the present study reviewed the literature (electronic database MEDLINE) to summarize the profile of ketamine effects in animal tests of anxiety/fear.

Clinical variability of children with anti-N-methyl-D-aspartate receptor encephalitis in southern Brazil: a cases series and review of the literature.

Purpose: Anti-N-methyl-D-aspartate receptor (NMDAR) encephalitis is an immune-mediated disease of the central nervous system (CNS). The aim of this study was to describe the variability of clinical presentation in anti-NMDAR encephalitis, treatment and outcomes in a case series of children and adolescents.
