In the case of a severe mismatch between the anatomy of the proximal femur and the geometry of the stem, the use of custom-made stems might become necessary. The goal of this study was to investigate the precision of the implantation of custom-made stems of one manufacturer (CTX stem, AQ Implants) and to determine risk factors for malpositioning.

Purpose: Health care systems in most European countries were temporarily restructured to provide as much capacity as possible for the treatment of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) patients. Subsequently, all elective surgeries had to be cancelled and postponed for months. The aim of the present study was to assess the pretreatment health status before and after COVID-19-related cancellation and the psychosocial distress caused by the cancellation.

Translating openEHR Models to FHIR.

openEHR and FHIR are two competing clinical data modeling and data exchange standards, that are commonly seen as mostly incompatible. However, the two have quite much in common and bridging approaches between the two worlds can serve the benefit of both communities. In the presented work, the data models of openEHR are translated into FHIR data models.

Semi-Automatic Terminology Generation for Information Extraction from German Chest X-Ray Reports.

Extraction of structured data from textual reports is an important subtask for building medical data warehouses for research and care. Many medical and most radiology reports are written in a telegraphic style with a concatenation of noun phrases describing the presence or absence of findings. Therefore a lexico-syntactical approach is promising, where key terms and their relations are recognized and mapped on a predefined standard terminology (ontology).
