A systematic review on the state-of-the-art and research gaps regarding inorganic and carbon-based multicomponent and high-aspect ratio nanomaterials.

This review explores the state-of-the-art with respect to multicomponent nanomaterials (MCNMs) and high aspect ratio nanomaterials (HARNs), with a focus on their physicochemical characterisation, applications, and hazard, fate, and risk assessment. Utilising the PRISMA approach, this study investigates specific MCNMs including cerium-zirconium mixtures (CeZrO) and ZnO nanomaterials doped with transition metals and rare earth elements, as well as Titanium Carbide (TiC) nanomaterials contained in Ti-6Al-4V alloy powders. HARNs of interest include graphene, carbon-derived nanotubes (CNTs), and metallic nanowires, specifically Ag-based nanowires.

Primary Alveolar Rhabdomyosarcoma of the Breast in an Adult: An Extremely Rare Case.

Sarcomas of the breast constitute less than 1% of all malignant breast tumors and primary rhabdomyosarcoma (RMS) is a very rare entity with limited case reports in the literature. RMS is common in children and adolescents and rare in adults. Primary RMS arising from the breast is exceedingly rare in adults.

Emergency pancreatoduodenectomy (whipple procedure) for massive upper gastrointestinal bleeding caused by a diffuse B-cell lymphoma of the duodenum: report of a case.

We herein report a rare case of a massive upper gastrointestinal (GI) bleeding, caused by high-grade diffuse B-cell lymphoma of the duodenum, secondary to immunoproliferative small intestinal disease (IPSID) and treated with an emergency partial pancreatoduodenectomy. A 42-year-old man was admitted to our hospital because of hematemesis. Upper GI endoscopy was unrevealing because of the copious bleeding.

Ovarian neoplasm composed of an insular carcinoid tumor and a borderline mucinous cystadenoma arising in a mature cystic teratoma: a case report.

We report the case of a 57-year-old female patient with an ovarian neoplasm of insular carcinoid and mucinous cystadenoma of low malignant potential, arising in a cystic teratoma of the right ovary. Additionally, a mature teratoma of the left ovary was present. This is an extremely rare combination of primary tumors in the ovary.
