Heretofore, particles of RSPaV have not been visualized. In this work, flexuous rod particles approximately 723 nm in length were detected in the sap of infected grapevines by immunosorbent electron microscopy (ISEM), using a polyclonal antiserum produced to a recombinant coat protein of RSPaV.

View Article and Find Full Text PDFPotato cysteine proteinase inhibitors (PCPIs) represent a distinct group of proteins as they show no homology to any other known cysteine proteinase inhibitor superfamilies, but they all belong to the Kunitz-type soybean trypsin inhibitor family. cDNA clones for five PCPIs have been isolated and sequenced. Amino acid substitutions occurring in the limited regions forming loops on the surface of these proteins suggest a further classification of PCPIs into three subgroups.

Retroperitoneoscopic approach in performing minimal invasive surgery of retroperitoneum shortens the duration of operation in comparison with transabdominal approach, with minimal risk of intraabdominal complications. We described the use of the retroperitoneoscopic approach to the upper pole of a kidney for marsupialization of a symptomatic renal cyst.

The nature of injuries are listed as follows: 337 persons were wounded by fire arms, 120 by beating or falling, 4 by knife, 3 by low temperature and 1 person was injured by high temperature. Of 465 injured patients 7 were dead at the time of admission to the hospital and the other 6 died within one hour of arrival.
